So so good, until the ending! I hate the way it was left! I hate that Kate is walking away out of fear and Gibbs is walking away hurt. It makes me sad! :( Any chance you'd consider picking it back up & writing a second chapter or sequel?

I love your realism yet again, I love that you are a bold enough writer not to give in to a happy ending where there are moments from the canon that you can see have affected the relationship, or at least, the characters [briefly] react to.

Great story: sexy, prefectly paced, truly heartbreaking.
