I am super late in the Harry Potter fandom but I am so glad I finally became a part of it. Ever since finishing the series I have been obsessed with the "Snape adopts Harry" AUs and I must say, dear shadowarwen, that you exceeded my expectations with this beyond breath-taking 3 part series. I read the whole thing in the matter of a few days, leaving every other fanfiction and books I had been reading, this is how amazed I am by your story! The fic is obviously rather old; the first chapter of this mesmerizing journey was published when I was merely 3 years of age! I saw your latest work on your profile is connected to the series and am eager to read through it in one sitting, judging by its word count; it was published in 2012, which leaves me wondering whether you would ever see this review that is likely going to be Odyssey-length, but I truly hope you do and I pray to Merlin that you never stopped writing! Okay, where do I start? So...
First of all I absolutely fell in love with this story since the first sentence I read during the first part of the series and knew instantly I would spend my days reading through your brilliant work from morning to evening and this is exactly what happened. Your ideas during SIB Part 1 amazed me to no end. The plot was super original and I loved the development between Harry and Sev and the way you described it! Del, Zane and fucking Jeb are fantastically written characters that truly brought the story to life. What Harry went through and what Sev went through to protect him were the highlights for me during the first part, and the way they started caring for each other so deeply. And don't get me started on Del; she is my spirit animal now. :D The Second Part was equally amazing and I relished in the way everyone cared for Harry; angst and hurt/comfort is one of my most favourite genres ever and I have not come across a writer that handles it quite as brilliantly as you. And the third part... God... There were so many times I wanted to cry but just couldn't because I was so overwhelmed with emotion. When Vernon had Harry pinned down in his car and Har's memories started coming back to him, I... I was practically screaming for Severus to go get him or for Harry to break free, I was under so much pressure! The relationship between Draco and Harry was amazingly written and believable; I absolutely love how they went from enemies (with Draco throwing that ingredient in Har and Neville's potion during the second part) to brothers. The Dillard storyline during SIB2 was incredible and enticing; I couldn't stop reading to see how things would escalate. And Harry's wandless magic was top notch! I can go on and on about every little detail I adored about your fanfiction but unfortunately, my review would become longer than your work, so I believe I must stop here. :D Your writing is fluid and beautiful, you have a gift that I hope you never turned your back on. Just read through all 3 parts of your "Somewhere I Belong" story and it's such a good read! One of the most touching and emotional fanfics I've ever read. Also, I loved your characterisation of Draco and the brotherly relationship that develops between him and Harry in the course of the story :) On top of all that I loved Snape's cousin Del, she's a very entertaining character! ;)

That was an amazing saga. I loved it so much! This last chapter made me cry it was so beautiful and wonderful. Thank you so much for writing this. It was an emotional rollercoaster but I loved it.
