This was a beautiful story. What struck me the hardest was Maes helping Riza out with Roy after the fight. Him being strong for her. It was very sweet.

almost 10 years since I wrote this fanfic and I found a few days ago, I enjoyed it, congratulations and thanks.

I know you wrote this years ago, but I just wanted to tell you that you did a REALLY good job! See, I'm one of those ignorant people who never watched the, what was it...2003 anime? So when characters like Sloth/Juliet Douglas came in and Bradley as Pride started, I just shrugged and figured, "Wow...real good imagination-and it makes sense!"I had just assumed you hadn't gotten to the Bradley Wrath part or any of that or that those chapters hadn't been written! But then I googled it when Sloth's water powers came in, remembering the 2003 anime and lo and behold, these characters exist! So yeah, I felt obliged to bow in impressedness before your feet. *bows* Great story!

I loved this! Oh my gosh...you are a great writer. I knew Riza wasn't dead in that one chapter, but you really had me scared for Roy! This was an amazing story! I absolutely loved reading it...I enjoyed it a ton :) Great job!

What a great fic- and this chapter was just so hilarious that I had to pop my head in and say so. I watched the episode with the miniskirt declaration and found it even funnier now that I've watched both series in full.

This story may be old, but it was Capital A AMAZING!

I totally loved the way you had the Roy and Riza relationship so full of angst and dark! They were incredibly in character and I could totally understand the difficulties they were going through in their interactions with each other!

I also really liked the way you drew out the battle with Bradley and Douglas. BTW, when you wrote this story, were you reading the manga? Do you happen to watch FMA: Brotherhood currently?

Because your Bradley was NOT out of character in the slightest... well, he may have been OOC for being Pride (in the 2003 anime), but in the manga storyline, your Bradley was practically IDENTICAL to how he behaves as WRATH. It was crazy. So uncannily similar. Some of the lines you wrote for him almost match up perfectly with what he says to Ling in the manga!

And of the battle itself, you indeed got his super-speed down perfectly, just like how he is in the manga. And even more uncannily, your method of destroying Homunculi is also exactly how the manga does it :-O In the manga, the Homunculi are created with the Philosopher's Stone as their core, and the way to kill them is to exhaust the Stone's energy until it disintegrates, at which point the Homunculus's body will disappear.

That aside, your own method for killing Sloth was incredibly inventive. I wouldn't have thought of that on my own, but wow, oil defeating water... it's so obvious I feel like a fool for not seeing that before!

One thing that I really feel the 2003 anime did better than the manga was showing us angsty Roy, lol. All kidding aside, he really did seem to be suffering a very severe form of PTSD after returning from Ishval, complete with the nightmares, the constant flashing back, and the alcohol problems. Manga Roy wasn't broken by Ishval to the same extent, but he does still feel some measure of guilt for what he did back then.

Finally on the last few chapters, I like that it took a while for Roy and Riza to come to terms with each other. She's right, this isn't like one of her fairy tales where everything resolves itself, it took a lot of courage and strength to finally spit out what they feel for each other and earn their happy ending :-D

Ah well, as it stands, I've rambled long enough. If you're not watching Brotherhood, you really should, it's as good and in many instances I feel, better than the 2003 anime. Anyway, good luck with your future works and hope you come back to FMA sometime!

Aww Its so cute and happy even though getting to the end was all sad and scary. i'm glad that you made the reader wait for the love buisness, it always makes the story more interesting instead of just rusing into it. Once you rush into the love there isnt really anything left to build on. Unless of course It has different plot. I loved it though, good use of imagery, metaphor, and dictation.

good story so far

this was a great fic. yeah there were parts that were ooc, but it was a first fic so it's like..okay.

so i was thinking about this last night, and i know this is going to make me sound like i'm evil, but i couldn't help but try and figure out how riza didn't get more seriously hurt after fighting sloth and getting squished by a building. i mean yeah, ducking is okay and all that, but...i mean...i feel like she still would've been more hurt. that could be the nursing major in me.

i love maes hughes, he is amazingly amazing. the chapter where roy first wakes up and you read about hughes sometimes coming to banter, to be a shoulder to cry on, or to just be there and look away-it suits him so perfectly and it suits the story perfectly. just great.

i like happy endings!

that's okay i liked this chapter. i'm not quite as depressed anymore. roy's little pattern of thought 'she'll say no any second now.' 'really...' 'yep, it's coming now'. '..why isn't she saying no?'

i loved her quiet response. if he just asked her if she loves him, why can't he please call ehr by her first name. so very sad.
