I like to reread this story. I like to reread many of your stories, but this one I find particularly compelling. It is touching how Lee helps Kara discover each truth.

I know I wanted to read the sequel to Alone in the Cold first, but this caught my eye and I just had to. Sorry.

I think you might just be one of my favourite authors, after only two or three stories (I think I read the "Five Times Starbuck and Apollo Bent the Rules" a while ago, but maybe it was another entry for the same contest), which is really impressive. This isn't completely canon, but when it comes to canon the writers kind of screwed with poor Kara and Lee, so it's better this way. I'm not typically into this kind of romance, but your writing just makes my little heart go, "Aww!".

Every single one of these is fantastic, and I like how not every one is focused on Kara and Lee, but on various aspects of Kara's life now. It's amazing (there's that word again!). It's marvelous. Ah, I love this so much.

Don't take the lack of length in this review to mean it was any less perfect than the other one. My fingers are just running out of steam.

Another great story

I'm not sure if you're going to think this is a compliment or not but it is truly meant as one. The reason that it has taken me so long to send a review is necause I read this story on my Blackberry while my baby was in the ICU last week. And it made me cry. Absolutely excellent - thank you for writing it.

That was beautiful, simply beautiful. I felt it was very poignant that Kara STILL felt she had been to blame in the past, and that Lee was the one to teach her. "Everything else is just lies your mother told you" - what a perfect line. Thanks for posting!
