Interesting! I've only read the first chapter so far and I'm going to keep reading because you write well.

I just have one question. Where was hospital security? You'd get a lot of addicts wanting drugs in the clinic and it's security's job to escort them out (they could get violent). The clinic is also stationed at the entrance of the hospital and where all the patients are waiting. If there was ever a position where security guards needed to be stationed, it would be there. So, where were they?

Huh. I was back to the third chapter before I remembered to write a review.

It's was really good. It was clear, crisp, and beautiful.

I just have one question, Did...did you see any resemblance between the creepy doctor about to do the surgery (forgot his name already) and Dr. Nick from the Simpsons? o.o

Oh my gosh! That story was amazing! Voglar was psychotic! I was seriously getting creeped out - especially that whole deal with Dr. Baranov! I'm glad it's over, though. Finally House is okay and back to normal. And the ending was so cute! Cameron and Thompson, Wilson right - they do make a cute couple. You're a good writer, and hope you write more stories. Right now though, I'm just taking a breathe of fresh air that House is finally going to be all right!

Yes, I enjoyed your story very much. I actually had to download it to read it offline, and then I finished it in one sweep, because I couldn't stop. You created a very intense atmosphere, almost in best horror style, bravo! I also enjoyed your characters, even though the "eastern european evil doctor" was a bit too much cliché for me. He reminded me of some James Bond from the 70s. ;)

But apart from that (and it was only minor anyway, it just made me smile) I totally enjoyed your story. Great stuff!

I'm te kind of person who is a bibliophile. What i'm trying to say is, i was reading several other fanfics at once when i came across this story. But as soon as i started reading this one, i postphoned reading the others because "An Enemy Returns" was just so intriguing.

I will admit that i'm quite a sadist. And yes, i'm a sick and twisted person. meaning, i love abuse fics. mental and physical abuse as well as it's psychological effects fascinates me. I had read a fanfic called "The Contract" not so long ago. A lot of torture in that one, so i obviously adored it. This fic was simular to that one, but with a lot less abuse and torture as well as a different antagonist. but the story for this one still made me excited. i enjoyed every second when Vogler was verbally or physically hurting House. i love thramatized peoples. _~

Don't get me wrong, i adore Gregory House. And i obviously love the show. I'm just sadistic and love seeing my favorite characters go through hell. Misery does love company after all.

I found the police aspect interesting. I'm even more surprised that i actually liked them. They had great personalities, and were very likable. Thompson turned out to be a bit of a Gary stew because he's an original character that has a romantic relationship with a canon character. but oh well. I liked him anyway.

lol. i found the russian-sounding evil doctor Baronov to be quite an amusing character. Completly insane with wild ideas, but at least he wasn't eff-uped and demented like Vogler.

In other words, everything i said adds up to a I REALLY liked this story gibberish.

It really was such a joy reading it.

Wow! Fabulous ending, straight out of Dorthy Sayers! Ironically, while I was suffering withdrawal effects waiting for you to finish this enigmatic story I wrote my own ending that was amazingly similar to the path you chose! I, too, felt that some retribution was due Mr. Vogler, but in my wrap it was Cameron who dispatched him. I like that it was not concience that motivated the somewhat cliched Herr Doktor, but a sense of self preservation that befits the psychopathic scientist. It's true that while Dr. Cuddy seems like a woman of action, she is often influenced to act based on who's opinion she is listening stayed fairly within character and that is appreciated more than even an exciting ending.
