Rereading this and almost crying again. I always did love the detail you put into this story and I appreciate it so much more on this reread. It is unbearably sad but moving and captivating at the same time - the kind of thing where you just want to keep reading, want more of them, to know how it affected them past what we got (I know, it's the problem with good stories, readers always want more!). Really good job here.

It has been one of the most captivating tales I have yet to read on probably anywhere. These were not leading characters, some names mentioned in passing, a part in one story here, some infamy there with Kavanaugh, but in the passages you composed learned to care for them. Every break I had today, I found myself reading just a little bit more. You made them human, people worth caring about, even Kavanaugh, though I also appreciated how you reamined true to his character. It was a wonderful journey that didn't end when rescue came, carrying on to the various funerals, finding so many very appropriate to what little information the show gave about said character, or when it had a lot. The anger at Ford's, the folk song with Biro or the elegy in Klingon. The large families, the ones with no family, covering the wide spectrum of people and cultures. I thank you very much for this series and giving into the 'detail demon' that prompted you to write it.

I'm a big fan of and this story was absolutley breathtaking. You nearly had me in tears at the mentions of and the way you made these six characters become like a family was brilliant.

I am so close to crying right now. This story was so wonderful. Simple, yet poignant and even funny. Definately going on my favorites list.

So sad that no one came to retrieve McKay's remains. This is such a heartbreaking chapter - what with dealing with the funerals and all. It almost sounds like he misses that life he had on the planet. No one here really understands what they went through, and those that do have to move on. Lovely lovely story.

Can't.. see...for...the...tears... Dr Corrigan has been great. Had me worried about Miss Gupta there, and you obviously had Markham panicked too. Your job with the locations, families and stuff was truly a masterpiece. Hat off to you, Answerwoman! I was very moved by hearing about Stackhouse, Miller, and Biro. The whole McKay thing was... I dunno, just damn sad. Walter was great. It was nice that Simpson and the others did so much for him. Stupid neighbour, what she know? Damn, just sad. Teaches us all a lesson, that's for sure.

This was all around a superb tale. Well balanced and well timed throughout.

This is a very, very, compelling chapter.

sad, but with it's biting humor moments - Kav actually laughing for example. I liked what you did for the funerals, going around and addressing them like this. Gaul's was good, and Biro's... poor Beckett's mum. McKay's was perfect, and setting up something like a scholarship or donation is great.

Good to see the group healing.

I like how you brought the SGC into this. So the big question is, are they going to run into the Wraith in this version?
