Reviews for The Way to Narnia
The Hope Lions chapter 9 . 3/23/2018
I really love this story. So many fics have Edmund as simply perfect after Beruna, but I like the idea of him still struggling years later.
Mellifera-imiya chapter 9 . 8/31/2015
You're amazing! I'm so glad to have found this story. I get the same feeling when I readed Narnia for the first time.
Ralph Brew chapter 9 . 5/2/2015
Hi , well The Way to Narnia was the material I had been hoping for that I wrote to you about earlier in the day. Thank you. By the way did you know that you made the cat Ginger come through the stable door twice?
Dino-Rogue chapter 7 . 3/20/2014
Well then, if that dream was incredibly, incredibly hard to write, than for me, it was incredibly, incredibly hard to forget and easy to love! It succeeded more than just in part. Here's the deal:

Ah, true, He is always there; waiting for us to come to him, never far away, but in times of comfort, we must be the ones to walk on and come to His love and embrace. And that bit about the tears... yet another lesson to remember, for all of us. In everything, hold it back and it will shake and shatter you, let it flow and it will do so smoothly... and one more lesson? His justice is always coupled with Love and Mercy... it should always be so, and with Aslan, that is how it always is, and that is how it shall be always. So if Edmund or any of us asks which part of us deserves that kind of thing; Love and Forgiveness mixed with Mercy that needs no justice or explanation? The answer is the whole of us. Every part of you, Edmund, that is the part that Aslan loves, the part that deserves it all is every single one. ...Haha! Dashed against a rock? Edmund, even being eaten by the Lion is not only better, but more possible and plausible than that! Haha! As inappropriate it might be for the moment, I couldn't help but laugh there; it made me giggle... silly Ed. But really, you have given us three very important lessons with this chapter. To sum it all up: One, He waits for us. In times of need, we can come to Him for comfort, He is never far away. Second: Hold nothing back, let it all flow, and the path will be smoother than expected. And lastly: His Justice always, always comes with Undying Love, Unbridled Forgiveness, and True Mercy that in the end, did not even need Justice, for they themselves are Justice; the one that says, "You are loved." Thank you so, so much for this! You have enlightened not only Edmund, but all of us with these precious gems of thought!

An incredible, incredible chappie! :) Marvelous job more than ever on this one!
Dino-Rogue chapter 6 . 3/20/2014
My heart, as in, all of me, my entire being, goes out to Edmund right now, this chappie. I soooo want.. no, wish to hug him! I love all the Pevensies, but... Edmund holds a special place... especially right now! Oh, Aslan, your son needs your comfort so deeply and badly now.

Ah, Lucy's feelings on Susan's beauty and how people regard her... that does make sense! Why, now I see why for me, Edmund and Lucy have this certain bond; they are almost the same in that bit... practically the same! Ed to Peter, Lu to Susan. Boy! Oh... yeah, there is that knife there in VDT, that's right... man, no wonder he got so uncomfortable that he couldn no longer stop himself from asking the Star's Daughter whether she is friend or not. Aww! I love the way you described everything from Ed's perspective here... ill thrill, indeed. And Vegas? Ha! How true! And the most true of all; Deathwater. Yes, a curse, a curse that gives off false excitement and dirty light. Blasphemy? Oh, Ed, no, it is not, by any means. And it may have been Narnia's worst-kept secret, but it is the greatest love of all that brought that sacrifice upon. Wow! Spectral and grim... tell me, why is it that you have so beautifully described everything in this chapter? Effortlessly, every thought and emotion is so very well mirrored and presented to us, the readers! Awesome job, I say!

This has gotta be my favorite chappie. Really. A release, an understanding. Awesome job... as always!
Dino-Rogue chapter 5 . 3/20/2014
Wooah, thanks to Peter, for saving him from those nasty, dark thoughts there! Of course he had changed! He just doesn't see it; you wouldn't be called "King Edmund The Just" for nothing, now, would you, Edmund?
Dino-Rogue chapter 5 . 3/20/2014
Why, most certainly! They'd be thrilled even with this... for they are back in action! Adventuring once again... sort of? :)

I love the time you took to glimpse for a while at each of the boys' looks. Edmund, I shall only say that you will always be a king in my eyes. As handsome and as noble-looking as one and more. Whether girls look at you or not, you are far more than you think you are. No more, no less of a king than Peter is.

Another nice chapter!
Dino-Rogue chapter 4 . 3/20/2014
Gosh, Susan, some Gentle Queen/sister you are! Now look what you've got Edmund thinking! Those dark, unworthy thoughts... Forgetting not worse than his betrayal? Would look at yourself and your deeds and listen to what you're saying for a moment here? Don't you think forgetting is much, much worse? For it is far worse! Edmund repented and was forgiven! And yes, one of my own questions have been answered now as well. We, or I, really should have really known. He is indeed smart enough without Lucy, who wanted to tell him so badly, or any of his siblings having to explain it all to him, even without anyone in the kingdom breathing a word of it. Poor guy... You have earned such a love long before the betrayal, even long before the sacrifice. You are neither unworthy nor are the gifts given to you by Aslan Himself unjust. You deserve them all more than anyone or you think. I mean, look at him, still serving Narnia even though he is out of Narnia.

I love this chapters. Musings are the best part of this...
Dino-Rogue chapter 3 . 3/20/2014
Oh, and I am glad you explained it. plus, we needed a little more dashes of Edmund angst to keep the story doing right, didn't we? :)

Lovely chappie yet again!
Dino-Rogue chapter 2 . 3/18/2014
Ha! Jill, a crush on Edmund? Well, how about that... Eustace would probably not be very pleased... at least, that's what I think... :-)

Wow, his thoughts are really taking a turn for the needing-Narnia-badly-now point, aren't they? And ah, that "I know what you mean" bit? Sorry if this is wrong of me, but I kind of agree somehow... Okay, maybe it's because Ed doesn't let anyone see and know what he means, but still, I do think he could use a little bit of understanding this time. He may not see it now, he may not fully comprehend things clearer, but knowing this Just King, I'm certain that in time, he will, too. For though he may not be Peter the King King over all kings in Narnia, he is still King Edmund the Just, one of Aslan's beloved and favored children.

Awesome job yet again! This story keeps getting better and better.
Dino-Rogue chapter 1 . 3/18/2014
When you got back, Ed... oh, if all of you only knew what awaits... but I believe you shall find that out for yourselves, soon.

Aww, Edmund... those thoughts again... There is no Susan now, after all, and Lucy always did turn to Peter... what about him? That is such a good point.

Actually, as Aslan had said in The Silver Chair, they wouldn't have called on Him and gotten to Narnia if He hadn't been calling to them first. Anyway, I love this piece! So in-character, so true to book-canon which I love the most, and true; Ed's own story before the never-ending one began in LB. Hey, he's got to have his own moments to shine, too! Right? Haha! Angst for everyone, hmm? I'm afraid that is the thing that makes for a good story most often, to our favorite characters' chagrin, of course.
Misty Blue chapter 9 . 8/26/2012
Yay! Further up and further in! I love, love this story. Thank you for doing such a wonderful job on it. I love the angstiness, I love the moments of wondering, but most of all, I love, love the joyful parts. When there's understanding, when they all walk together to Aslan's country! When all is finally well, and when they truly live happily ever after! Where there's Love, Joy, Peace, Light... with all of those dearest to you. And The Great Lion, of course. I love it! An extra chapter sharing the jokes and stories they tell after their final reunion would indeed be nice, but this fic is awesome even as it is now.
Misty Blue chapter 8 . 8/26/2012
Indeed. Ed's past is what made him who he is today. Though it was anything but easy, it shows that Aslan's love is not always earned by 'deserving' it, but is given freely. Yes, even to the greatest sinner in the world. Ha! Start, you say? Oh. Peter, Edmund . . . You two have no idea.

Haha! Well, lovely, awesome chapter. Like the one before, of course! Great, great fic.
Misty Blue chapter 7 . 8/26/2012
Aww! True. "Love others and despair no more."... Yes, Edmund. Please, always remember that.

I believe that it was just all wonderfully written and pictured here. The dream with Aslan, and all the things he realized, with His help and through his love, of course. Love. That's right. It succeeded not only in part, too; I think you should know. It was simply awesome as a whole! Yes. The whole thing.
WillowDryad chapter 9 . 12/1/2011
Oh, this was glorious. Thank you.
