So... was it anatomically correct? The sly guy never answered.
ecwecwecw1 chapter 13 . 11/28/2016
I can see why this is the most fav'd Ghost in the Shell fanfiction on this website. Good job.
theinsidiousflea chapter 2 . 7/27/2014
"Pulled" was supposed to be "pooled"

This is turning out to be promising.

Wowwwwwwwww
Great job
Truly worth of being a GITS fanfic
I love seeing where you draw from the anime and where you draw from the movie. Excellent weaving of all these elements to create a great story.
Guest chapter 13 . 2/20/2014
Pretty good story that feels like it could be part of cannon, not my typical fare but still a page-turner!

Thanks for your time and effort!
Moonlightnight101 chapter 5 . 10/11/2012

Paltere chapter 1 . 10/6/2011
Stunning work, your writing is just wondeful to read. I enjoyed how you explored themes from the series and added your own twists. Kudos to you for making up a very in depth and believable case. I can imagine this happening in series if it were to continue. Togusa was really well written as well as the other characters. The story behind the doctor was also very well planned out!

Good job, you deserve a reward!
Putaro chapter 13 . 9/16/2011
Nicely done. Enjoyed how you extended and explored the themes from the series.
Yuhi Sakura chapter 9 . 7/26/2010
Wow...I'm absolutely awe-struck! I don't even have the words to describe to you how incredible a fiction you've managed! Your words, the plot, the characters...you captured everything so beautifully and then brilliantly crafted your own universe within the subset of their world! The way you portray Togusa and his struggle with his own identity and the possibility that his humanity was lost with his physical body is absolutely, breathtakingly heart-wrenching. I have never before seen in a fiction such a wondrous grasp and manipulation of the idea of the depth of the human mind and what the soul really is! Everything about your fiction is so inspired and so gorgeously crafted! I absolutely loved all the small insights into characters like Matoko; we so rarely get to see her "human" side that it was fascinating to watch you mold a small memory of her first attempts at controlling her new body. And the time frame you used-her as a child-only added to the brilliance. I can't even begin to fathom, even having worked with children in my highschool, how she managed to learn because I know first hand that they have so little patience and so much energy with no real direction to take it. You really added something to her that I think a lot of fictions skim over either because it never enters logically into the mix or because it's such a deep topic that it's intimidating to try and approach. There is such palpable fear in Togusa and it's a fear that people can so easily relate to. The idea that everything you know is just the whim or figment of another person's mind is absolutely terrifying in the most primal sense possible. And you so excellently and brilliantly tucked in the idea that we never really know people, even the ones we love, only added to that very basic sense of fear when the comfort and surety of our memories, the foundations of who we are as people, might have been snatched away. The powerlessness, the rage, the sorrow...it was just all so palpable and so real to me as I was reading! I can find not a single error in your work in terms of something as simple as grammar all the way up to something as abstract and deep as the definition of the human soul...Flawless, gorgeous, inspired writing!
ShadowCub chapter 13 . 10/18/2009
Your story sums up everything I thought about this creepy anime show, dead people

pretending to be alive, humans mutating themselves into robots and thinking that

they are superior to living people. It sounded like in the anime and story that

they are one generation away fromliving to mechanical. CREEPY, great story even

though he was stupid enough to not realize that if he were having problems with

memory, you don't go to a man who can change them, stupid of him to not realize

that he was bait for him bosses.
Tatsu-ZZmage chapter 13 . 10/24/2008
That could have been a kick ass AR movie. _~ great story.
Viviane Renard chapter 13 . 4/22/2008
Wow, it's sure been a long time since I've read the other chapters. -laughs- However, that still doesn't detract from how much I like this story. You have a wonderful way with description, and I like how you ended the story. Very thought-provoking, and it ties in the name of the story. Great job on this.
KuMardagg chapter 13 . 3/11/2008
This is probably the best GiTS FF I've ever read. Excellent characterization. Very thought provoking.
The Sun In The East chapter 13 . 12/31/2007
This was a positively captivating fiction. It manages to keep the original themes and concepts of Ghost In The Shell, but it brings something new to the table. Always in Ghost In The Shell there exists the question of identity, but this fiction brought the struggle of that question into startling clarity. The characters were captured in near perfection, and you managed to make it emotional and enthralling without causing it to become cheesy or overly angsty. Togusas' struggles, both internal and external,. bring a whole new emotional level to Ghost In The Shell, which has always carried a facade of emotional distance.

I absolutely loved reading Defining the Indefinable. I eagerly await your future writings.
