Reviews for Misunderstood
DittoVonDegurechaff chapter 65 . 4/8
Better than the actual series!
Liz the Unconquerable chapter 55 . 3/19
So Padme is pregnant already. I have to admit I thought they would be little farther along in their relationship before she would get pregnant, that the drug induced hook-up would just be the catalyst for them to start looking at each other differently and she would get pregnant later. Very interesting.

Liking the slow burn Obi-Wan/Sabe.

I was wondering for a while when palpatine would show up. I'm assuming he will recognize Vader/Anakin. Very ominous that you should have him meet palpatine and get Padme pregnant the same night.

Really looking forward to the big reveal.

I knew Obi-Wan was still alive! especially after the time you spent to develop Sabe as a possible love interest! I also like how you used the force-blocking mask as it makes it so it's understandable Anakin/Vader and the other Jedi do think Obi-Wan died. He is going to get such a shock when Obi-Wan gets that mask off!

Wow this is such a great story! I can't believe I never found it before, I stayed up late last night reading it but I wanted to leave a comment here. I fascinated by this AU. I love how Anakin/Vader is evolving into a better person, how after facing his past and actually making a choice he is finally healing. It feels like in his time as a fake Padawan he was in a holding pattern, never moving forward, but now after facing Dooku he has made a choice to at least try and be in the Light side, or at least actively reject the Dark side. It was so powerful when he did that and then wanted to help the Jedi. I feel like Yoda is starting to see his redemption. Afterall, he never really CHOSE to be a Darksider, he was tortured into it, now he is instead CHOOSING to be a Lightside user.

Ok, so Obi-Wan. I was so stunned when he died. I was like "wait what happened? I thought he was just unconscious?" I'm still not convinced he is dead, but whether he is or not I think it is very impressive you could pull it off. I also want to say I loved how you had Anakin/Vader react to it. How he stayed strong and tried to help the other Jedi Padawans, and is still wanting to stay in the Light. It is a great way to test him.

I also really like the way you have developed the relationship between him and Padme. It's so different from cannon, and yet it makes sense they would react this way and how they are attracted to each other from the beginning and slowly starting to develop stronger feelings. Great job.

If Obi-Wan is dead I'd like Yoda to step up, as I think he's the only one who could get through to Anakin/Vader that there is a chance of redemption. I do however like where he is now, having to interact with a Tusken, even starting to befriend him is another great subtle way to encourage growth.

Can't wait for more!
Liz the Unconquerable chapter 10 . 3/17
I'm really liking this story so far! It's such an interesting premise. I especially like how this episode in Anakin/Vader's life went down differently and shows how he is "The Chosen One" capable of bringing balance.

In cannon he is forced to endure visions for much longer, making him more stressed and susceptible to the Dark Side once he does go to Tatooine, in addition I think that his attempts to bury his natural instincts/personality in order to fit into Jedi philosophy are a constant source of stress whereas here he is just playing a part and doesn't feel the need to regulate his thoughts and feelings, at least not to the same extent.

Also, in Cannon he is never taught how to understand or deal with his negative emotions and they overwhelm him; here he has a much greater self awareness and can choose to push aside his anger and fear. Consciously choosing to use the Light side as it would be more useful in the situation. I have no doubt that if he thought the Dark side would be more useful he could have used it, and still returned to a state where he is able to use both at will. This is one of the only stories I have seen where the Anakin/Vader is shown to do this, able to switch back and forth between the Light and Dark sides and have neither "dominate his destiny".

I'm wondering if Yoda is paying attention to his ability to do this, if he has noticed and more about their thought process in allowing him to stay at the Jedi temple, did Yoda think redemption was possible? Or was it just so the Sith wouldn't have access to Anakin/Vader?

It's so sad how isolated and disconnected Anakin/Vader feels from his family. I'm sure Shmi would have wanted to thank him properly and have him get to know his step family. I can't wait to see what will happen next!

Please tell me Anakin will start to use his brilliant brain soon.

For someone so brilliant Anakin could teach a master class in poor and stupid life choices.
