I finally finished it. There were just too many arguing. The relationship was toxic asf I’m glad they didn’t end up together yet I’m sad they didn’t sort it out. Faye was too clingy, too melancholic. It was as if she couldnt exists without Spike’s attention and I couldnt stand it. I actually rooted for Jack, although his means were kinda wrong, he wasnt toxic. At the very beginning the characters were in character. Faye being angry at Spike was understandable but it just lasted for too damn long. However nonchalant spike is he wouldnt be this ass about things that the writer wrote. In the end, I’m left wondering why I wasted my time on this even tho I disagreed with everything and it bored till my cores. Seriously, this was bad

Ok can I give you another confession? It’s been so long since I watched the show I started rewatching it to remember the different characters, and histories you’ve intertwined into this fic (it’s been an unproductive week, I’ve called into work sick due to a bad cold). I don’t think I’m qualified to praise “in-character” or “canon” but I loved your writing, pacing and story.

There were so many arguments and ugly moments that made it hard to love the characters but their flaws and baggage are so heavy and raw and understandable. I’m glad those two drama queens got the space they needed from each other in the end, and came back to seamlessly reconnect, happier. The surprise guest Charlie was a perfect treat, a treasure. Poor dumb romantic Jack... you’d think however many long years would give a boy the cunning of how to handle a strong woman, though same could be said about Spike.

I do think this might be the fic I was looking for all those years ago, and the scenes I remember are some compilation of dreams and other fiction. So thanks again for re-posting this and completing it! It’s been a real blast from the past and as I said before I appreciate it all so much.

A long time ago, back before google was the main search engine people used, and yahoo was a viable thing, I read this really good cowboy bebop fanfiction. I remember telling my friend about it during a free study hour during middle school. I was obsessed with it. It read like a novel. Then one day, it mysteriously vanished. There was no trace of it I could find across the internet no matter how hard I looked. Time passed, I moved on, I grew up... but sometimes when driving or in the shower I’d think of that fanfic. How good it was, how lost it was, and how I’d never read the end of it. It ended on a cliffhanger I would never get over.
Fast forward to 2020, back on my bullshit, I found your fic serendipitously and everything about it felt familiar. The premise, title, your handle and the apology of it being taken down — I read everything up to this point with bated breath for this vivid cliffhanger I was looking for. Seeing as this is the last chapter before yours was taken down, I’m honestly not sure if this is the fic I’ve kept in my mind. Regardless, I’m enjoying everything so far and just wanted to thank you for one, every word you’ve written, and two, reposting this considering whatever happened previously. I know it’s been a few years since that happened but a good story never gets old. I appreciate this so much.

Awww that one night stand would've been really satisfying... oh well. Better luck on my next fic. Thank goodness you didn't kill off Faye! Hahaha had me scared there for a good fifteen minutes. I love how well you used Jet, Ed, Ein, and the other cannon side characters,
I love JACK! I love his character! I love his romantism, his dedication, and his obsession. His 'love at first sight' and his plan to confess after riding the shuttle with Faye. Those things just really made me question if I still wanted Spike for Faye because honestly, Jack was the better option...
I loved a lot of things probably even the smallest details that I've already forgotten because I'm fangirling right now.

I wish that the Netflix adaptation of Cowboy Bebop would be like this! I hope instead of remaking it, they would start off where the anime had ended while keeping all characters in character to tell a different story.

Anyways, I hope you're doing well right now. If you're reading your reviews still, I hope that you'll still continue to make fanfics of Spike and Faye because you have the talent and the creativity for it!
