Did I miss something? Big Dog, Eddie & Carl not surprised to see a dead Steph? Another inconsistency was her fear of being shut in a box, but this chapter states fire and heights as being the biggest fears. Good story but the last chapter being too rushed and busy.

Certainly seems the Steph/Ranger relationship was nailed (except the exclamation points, which I ignored, doesn't seem to fit either personality) Enjoyed the story regardless of the overt interjection.

OK. I wanted to review this last chapter separately, as it is outside of the story. I did enjoy the vignettes, all except the last one, you little stinker! One of the best, most exciting and well written fan fics I've ever read! I have to say that the whole reaction to Steph's demise (even though it was staged) was really heart-wrenching! Steph's own emotions watching this in front of her, seeing how much she meant to so many people was a real eye-opener. I personally broke down when Hector, Hal, Cal & Ram formed the honor guard, standing in the rain, protecting her 'body' at the crime scene, and them unaware that she was, in fact, alive. Conversely, I LOVED the scene when Hector learned she was NOT dead, yelling at her in Spanish, slapping her ass, then kissing her!

Well, better late than never! This has to be one of the best fanfics I've read in a very long time ... and I'm 60 years old! You have Janet Evanovich's voice down pat and the characters hardly ever stray from her vision of them. As this is 10 years after the final product was published, I can only hope you've gone on to a career in writing. Great story!

Arrgh. I always feel like I struggle with writing a proper and meaty review of any story, but especially yours. I know I'm reviewing worm... but I still think that The Name of the Game is my favourite. I love the entire setup of it, and will never forget the one word phone call. I havent read it for several years, but so many parts are clear as day in my head (which is pretty good because I've had two babies since then and baby brain has destroyed my memory). I'm about to move on to Name of the Game again, so it will be interesting to see if I still love it the most after have Worm fresh in my mind.
I see your stories like movies. Each scene and detail so meticulously described that I can SEE it in my head. I love Worm. I always have. When I came across it many, many years ago it finally felt like I had found what my beloved characters were supposed to do. Supposed to be like. You ruined the J.E books for me, because quite simply, J.E's stories cannot compare to what you write.
I don't want to sound like I am dismissive of other writers, because there are some BRILLIANT writers that I have discovered on Fan Fic. I am so very grateful for the amazing minds of so many people who are so very kind enough to share their stories for us to read. But sometimes I feel that you are in a complete league of your own, with the epic stories of Blockbuster proportions. The comparison to me is that there are many fantastic movies released each year, but yours is that giant blockbuster of such a magnitude that it just stands alone from the rest.
