Hello! I’ve followed this story over from another site and I’m delighted that you are continuing it! I read Had I Loved You Once but I got a little confused. Are there supposed to be only 5 chapters? I’m delighted by this story and will continue to read it as long as you’re writing!

Writer's are notoriously their own worst critics. I've a friend who ha a few books published and according to her all her books are horrible. She usually loses the spark for the story also at least at one point during the process of writing it. If she takes a few days off for some peace she always gets it back. Take heart that what you felt is normal. The important thing is to take care of yourself first then the pieces will fall into place.
I like where you're going with this. It's been years since I've read the book plus the follow up by Ripley. It's nice to visit with Scarlett again. Thank you.

I hate that you say this story is garbage. I think the premise was good but I think Rhetts lies would have crashed down around him a lot sooner especially when they came to Atlanta. I look forward to reading more from you.

What happened to her children, has she left them behind with her nurse? Or taken them with her?

I like the story, kind of. Why would Scarlett all of a sudden be interested in her children? They wouldn't be used to any kind of affection from her.

I never bothered to start reading FanFiction until this year and I happed to read yours about a month ago. It maybe 11 years old to you but it’s new to me! I like it. I would love to see a conclusion. I think you’re too harsh with your critique. I too have a degree in English - as well as a masters in an area that enabled me to find a job... good luck making use of that English degree :-) - so I too have had to read a lot of fiction. You’re is not garbage. It’s engaging. Keep it up!

Enjoying the premise and the story...but a little confused by how Scarlett could leave home and travel to Atlanta alone with a man (Rhett) she only knew to be a friend (?) - also a little perplexed that the children wouldn't tell her who he was (?)
