Mm...well, it's interesting, and I can't tell you what you got wrong or right because I'm a manga person, but...I'm quite sure Katsura-san swore an oath never to draw his sword again, and so I doubt he would have been in the battle personally. I mean, who goes into battle when they can't fight? And I know in the manga they knew his surname around the inn he stayed in; they all called him by it. Hm. But some of those moments were quite nice.

It was I'izuka, by the way-lol. I think Katagai was killed and didn't Katsura vow never to draw his sword again? I dunno, I haven't seen the OVA in a while either, so...it doesn't matter. - I like the idea of Katsura giving Kenshin's daisho to a shrine. And the fact that Katsura wants to protect Kenshin after all the times the redhead protected him. - Keep writing!

I feel like I should be sure of this and I am not but wasn't Katagai dead by the battle of Toba-Fushimi? Wasn't he killed by the Ninja in Trust and Betrayal (Rememberance arc)?

I like the idea of what you seemed to be going after here. I agree it is a bit rough. I think it would be great if you could delve a bit deeper into the mood and Katusra's reflections on Kenshin and what it means to have him leave.

Very, VERY well written. I'm only slightly annoyed at the spelling of the traitor's name...though I can't remember it myself so you are forgiven.

I really enjoyed this! _ I don't tend to read much stuff about the Bakamatsu, so this made a nice change. I especially liked how everyone was out to protect Kenshin. It's cute!

I really liked it, but I wish it went a little deeper than it did.
