I would say that this is much better than decent. The perspective is indeed a biotch to write, and the effort you put into this shows. It is very cute, and somewhat unexpected as far as subject matter; one might easily take something like appearance for granted, but the idea makes sense in this context. And wow, the words you use are utterly decadent. Please don't short-change yourself. :)

I loved how you handled Al's thought on how if he looked anything like Ed. I loved how that flowed, and how you let us know that he had actually said it out loud. That, I think, was my favorite part. I also loved how you described Ed in that portion of the fiction.

Oh, me luv this! Amazing writing. A lot of the time I find Elricest difficult to comprehend or believe, but you pulled it off perfectly. It makes perfect sense that any relationship between the two would be centered around the angst and guilt that seem to rule the rest of their lives... again, amazing. Keep writing!

Rowan: Oh wow, I love this. It's so gorgeous, especially the part where Edward is describing how Al would look. Like my choir teacher used to say (why the feck am I quoting my choir teacher? but whatev-) "Tear my heart out and stomp all over it!" That's how I felt at the way you wrote this. The part where Edward gets choked up- Shittake Mushrooms, that was heartwrenching! (yes, it is late. Yes I'm reading on a cup of ramen and cold tea. No you didn't need to know that _ heh!)

Wow. You certainly didn't stop at just halfway decent. A lot of the time when I'm reading something my concentration wavers, but this held my attention the whole way through. The descriptions of Ed were especially beautiful, and he also seemed more in character to me than he does in most fanfics I've read. Very good job.

I love it! I was really touching. It was Elricest without the whole "incest" feeling to it. You portrayed the two of them perfectly and there wasn't one time where I thought it was out of character at all. Good job!

That was a very beautiful piece of writing. Cliche though it may be, my heart melted as I read this-and I typically don't prefer Elric pairings. It is the mark of a talented writer to draw a deliciously delightful romance from a pairing that a reader doesn't support. Your portrayal of Alphonse was both insightful and inspired; I appreciate the depth that you present in this work, and the mature style in which you write. There is a contemplative, sophisticated tone that compliments your presentation of the subject matter with such subtle brilliance that the first time I read it I could only sit back in my chair and marvel and the power of the words. 'twas a very impressive job, and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Thank you.
