I like both of them very much; "The Apprentice" is nicely developing while "The Quandary's Hope" is so very interesting that I just re-re-read it, which in turn made me want to read more about it... So please don't say that you'll stop writing entirely, I'd die...or rather, the bad stories that are currently being uploaded on FFnet would finish me off.
