You apparently at least have one reader who almost choked to death in excitement upon hearing of this update. Congratulations on finishing up graduate school! Whatever your chosen path, I'm sure your abilities to write so eloquently and thoughtfully will serve you well. :-)

This is fabulous. I am sad it hasn't been updated in almost 10 years, but you should know that it is a wonderful story, beautifully written. It is charming, easy to read, sweet, emotionally evocative, and thought provoking. One of the best fanfics I have ever read in many ways. Whether or not you ever choose to finish (or are ever again in position to write), you should be very proud of your story. Reading others here as well, you are obviously an inspiration to other young writers who were clearly inspired to write similar stories after reading yours. That is a wonderful thing; as a child I used to try and copy my favorite authors' writing styles to practice and study how the structured their stories and sentences. In this way, they taught me to read and write better and more carefully, which is something I believe you have done for some of your readers as well. For this, I congratulate you, and I wish you well.
