Right, this is just amazing! Literally no well-known actual pyhsical copy of a book has engaged me enough for me to continue reading, but this definitely did! Maybe due to how seamlessly you added into Gordon's life and the others, or how it was just written so well. Either way, fantastic; 10/10!

I've just gone through this level. It stinks.

I've watched Freeman's Mind too much. This Gordon is now just... weird to me O_o

Whoa, this is a long time ago! The characterisation and the events happening seem all right, but the prose needs to be tightened up. And you haven't written in a long time, so whatever critiques I leave might not apply anymore.

So I'll just summarise how I felt reading it so that I can give my opinion about it. Right from the start, I was seeing some bad signs - waking up. Waking up is easily the most cliche and boring way to start a story, so I was unsure that I would read on after I saw that. The next red flag was that he make the psychic distance from Freeman pretty far by saying things like 'he heard...' instead of leaving it implied. The next was that the author uses many synonyms for the word 'said', instead of using 'said'. Look at any professional work, and you'd probably see 'said' used all the time or very close to all the time whenever a verb is used before dialogue (and before dialogue is usually the best choice since otherwise the reader has to wait to know who said it and so isn't paying attention to the dialogue itself).

I wish I could write as good as you do...

Amazing novelisation of the game. I absolutely loved it. Maybe I can find ur take on Half Life 2 around here somewhere. I did love Ravenholme and Waterhazard. They were fun!

I felt like I struck a gold mine. Where have I been that I didn't notice this gem of a fic sooner?! ...lol
Anyways...absolutely L.O.V.E. how you pulled this off. One wouldn't even need to play the game trilogy to follow, and, you wrote it in a way that gives the gamers a sense of nostalgia as well! I didn't even mind the tucks and tweaks here and there, that just made it better! I'd nominate this for the movie script, that's for sure!
Oh yes, you never know when you'll need a crowbar! I grinned at that! XD
