Wow what an intense chapter. All this chasing has me following every word in hopes of getting to the next chapter. Saito is so sadistic but Okita was taking his orders. I always thought it was the other way around, but anyways he feels like the innocent teenager. Will he fall prey to those pretty blue eyes? So much excitement already that it could only get better. That was pretty exciting. You do a great job writing action. However, that is definitely a cliffie, so you need to add more. You have to at least let them meet! Right? _

This is a pretty good start. And I especially liked the descriptions of the settings and Kaoru's emotions. Kaoru herself is still in character, I'd say (seeing her temperament and fighting spirit).

Yuudai's death was sad. You've managed to portray him in a way that made me like him instantly. But I understand that in order for Kenshin becoming her new guard, he'd have to 'disappear' somehow. Still... (ah, don't mind my rambling _~)

It promises to become an interesting story.

Even though I read the second chapter first, I still enjoyed it for the writing.

The bottom glossary was really helpful because I really didn't know what some of the words meant.

The storyline itself seems really intersting and can really expand into something epic.

I'm not that great with reviews but I do know this story can easily become something amazing.

And, as always, I love Kaoru! She is so awesome, beautiful, strong willed, defiant, and passionate, and i'm glad that you kept her so strongly in character.

I love Kenshin's entrance. Very dramatic. And your style is pretty good. I laughed when she had to pretend to have sex with Yuudai. Lol!
