It's good.
LounaticM chapter 1 . 7/14/2010
You're right, I didn't regret reading it. It was very good. Poor Riddick misses Kyra. Great job, anyways.
ElvishKiwis Venerated Ancestor chapter 1 . 9/27/2009
What a powerfully emotive story.

I love the attempts you made to describe his Zombie-like state

"like a ghost on fire, too dead to feel but so horribly, viciously alive."

The darkening night is like an indicator of his deepening despair. There is a sort of detached observation of himself which is exactly the way one feels when in shock or grief. You write it very well.

I really liked your ending too. The breaking of an iron will; the piercing of an impenetrable heart;the humbling of a man who for his whole life has sought guidance from noone. What a significant moment summed up in the word "surrendered".
Dee chapter 1 . 9/6/2007
This was completely sad. I loved it.
Tower chapter 1 . 1/18/2007

Malicean chapter 1 . 11/20/2006
"He looked like a man desperate to die and angry enough to kill. [...] he felt like a ghost on fire, too dead to feel but so horribly, viciously alive."

Wow! In the words of our favourite silver-eyed killer: "Beautiful"
KrisEleven chapter 1 . 11/17/2006
Wow. That was really good. You have excellent imagery. You kept Riddick in character, but allowed emotional impact. I like!

Oh! This was so beautiful! Wonderful one-shot! Beautiful images you are painting here and a very poignant view on Riddick without making him look like a sissy! Well done! :)

I'm adding this to favorites!
