Guest chapter 11 . 6/6
I’ll admit I didn’t like this chapter, because it felt too contrived. ‘Oh why don’t you go wander alone through the FORBIDDEN DANGEROUS DEADLY FOREST to he¡p Hagrid find something that can kill an unicorn. After all, you are first years with zero knowledge of defensive magic, what could go wrong..’

I’ll readily admit the original excuse was pretty bad too, but at least they had detention and it could be argued the teachers wanted to scare them, and thought they’d be with Hagrid all the time, and it was Hagrids fault they ended alone.
Guest chapter 10 . 6/6
B, for sure. They are well off, either hire tutors or send her to France or another school. (Possibly the US though unlikely since they’re even worse re: no-majs/ muggles)

The.Grey.Hunter chapter 9 . 2/17
You ask why Harry took Cedric's death so hard, but was less affected by Sirus dying. It is one of JKR's characterization flaws. While she created a marvelous universe with many engaging characters, there are weaknesses in both plot and characterization. This is among them.
Guest chapter 12 . 10/19/2019
Always did wonder how Fred and George somehow missed the strange name sleeping in the bed with Ron.
Guest chapter 11 . 10/19/2019
Albus had OSTENSIBLY "borrowed" the cloak from James at some point before James was murdered. Now, if you and your wife were in hiding in fear for your baby boy's life, would YOU allow some doddering old fool to borrow YOUR main means of hiding? Yeah, no.
Blue00Phoenix chapter 9 . 9/7/2019
Answer to your question: Cedric was the first death he properly remembered and experienced involving someone he knew. It also involved voldemorts return.
Realmsmith chapter 1 . 5/14/2019
You know, I'm somewhat surprised Harry didn't just commit suicide. He lived with abusive relatives for ten years, had been told his parents died drunks in a crash, lived in a cupboard under the stairs. and was starved and neglected to the extreme. Then he had to go through the constant staring and whispering, Snape's hatred of him, confronting his parents' killer, and being put in near death situations at least 6 times only to be shipped back to said abusive relatives in the summer. Who put bars on his window, no less then six locks on his door, gave him rations through a cat flap, which he shared half of with his pet, and continued their neglect. Oh, he also had his mail withheld from him, and was told there was another plot to kill him, then was blamed for something Dobby did. Joy. Post Weasley rescue, he went through the rest of the summer with a preteen fangirl staring at him. Upon return to Hogwarts, he had to put up with the ponce Lockhart exploiting him for fame, everyone blaming him for the chamber of secrets, one of his best friends being petrified, nearly dying several more times, seeing his best friends sister inches from death, confronting Voldemort again, and not even being rewarded for his efforts in the chamber. then he goes back to abusive relatives. And that's only the first two books people! how the hell this kid didn't try to just kill himself, end the pain and suffering, see his parents again, is beyond me.
