what a lovely way to burn chapter 33 . 1/7/2019
oh my gosh, this was absolutely amazing. i love the slow burn of it, how it leads up to the intimate stuff and shows a gradual changing of affections. i love that sunny accepted violet and klaus’s love even though they were siblings. i love the baby in the basket and although i’m under the covers because parts of this were scary to me and it’s 1:30 in the morning, i love everything about this fic. you are an amazing writer and this story deserves thousands more reviews.
TheYEETles chapter 33 . 1/6/2019

kchuffman269 chapter 1 . 5/28/2018
this story and its beauty calms me down and helps me stop self harming when very little else can. I'm usually very private about that, but this story means so much to me that I didn't mind sharing. thank you.
RagamuffinSundrop chapter 33 . 6/4/2017
Beautiful, simply beautiful. I've read other ASUE fanfiction but this is by far my favorite.
Dichotomus chapter 1 . 5/17/2017
Its a good start. You captured Count Olaf's twisted desires quiet well.
Random Interest chapter 33 . 3/26/2017
I can't even begin to describe how amazed I am from reading this fic. While I'll be honest that it didn't feel like the actual books, but that really didn't matter because it still felt like their world. The pacing, the world building, and the imagery where all a higher tier than most fan-fic authors. The characters and the chemistry and interactions between them were almost perfect. I'm very glad to find such a beautiful hidden gem on .

I'm not okay.
I'm feeling...
That's amazing, really.
Hakeber.N chapter 25 . 11/29/2016
I first read this fanfic in high school, maybe 7 or 8 years ago. I was a big reader of the ASOUE fandom then. The exploration of the incest taboo excited me, and the unstintingly romantic way that Violet and Klaus's relationship was written enthralled me. In short, I loved this fic.
***
I got caught up to chapter 24-I remember the visceral dread I felt from the twist with the mirror-and then waited for the next chapter.
***
For weeks. Months, maybe.
***
But time passed. My interest waned. And eventually, I forgot all about this fic.
***
Until maybe a week ago, when, like a bolt from the blue (I hadn't been thinking of ASOUE, or Vioklaus, or incest at all), I remembered this fic, and went, "Man, whatever happened to that? I hope they got a happy ending."
***
I came back. I re-found this fic. I devoured it. And I was happy to learn that it was just as good as I remembered. Just as poetic in its ode-like descriptions of love. Just as suspenseful; just as comforting.
***
And best of all, the Baudelaires got their happy ending. I especially appreciate that it wasn't sugar-coated and overly ideal. They still had scars and nightmares and anxiety. (Violet checking the home security system on the windows was a sad-beautiful touch.) But they survived. They made it through the fire. They found their stars.
***
Thanks for sticking with this fic over all the years it took to complete it. Thanks for the beauty, the terror, the hurt, the love. Oh, and-
***
Kudos.
