I wanted to reread this and I have to say I liked it even more the second time! It would make a great movie, by the way. I love how you included little bits from your "Saving the World" story, such as the incident with the Russian and the fate of LJ's family. Hope you write more soon.

Just finished! The story took a few unexpected turns, but you wrote it so well that I couldn't wait to keep reading to see what happened in the next chapter. I liked how you carried elements from the beginning of the story throughout... so while I didn't understand certain things at first, they made sense later on. Smart writing. Thank you for posting this story - I look forward to reading your next one!

I just found this story and I've enjoyed making my way through each chapter. Several times throughout I thought about stopping to write a short note, but these two sentences compelled me to take the time to do it: "A more alert sober man would have thought through his actions to their inevitable repercussions. Tonight, Ripcord was not that man." Yikes. I couldn't wait to see what happened. Great story so far, I'm looking forward to reading the rest of it.

A sequel huh? Sounds like it might be interesting, it would be nice to see there family's or lack of and why.

So glad to see this finished, and so sad that it's over. Although, thoughts of a sequel makes me smile. :D I really would like to see more on Jaye's hesitation and the reference to Dermot and her grandmother.

I absolutely loved the Nurse Ratched from "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" references. and that the nurses saw right through Hawk's attempt to cover up those little frat violations.

Really enjoying this story. Loved Flint's reaction to Giorgi-not telling him is the best revenge.

Hmm, not sure whether to praise Hawk or call him an idiot, given the circumstances! :) Flint's always had a bit of a temper, and he's more than furious at this point and running on pure adrenaline.

I loved Giorgi's reaction. Sadness and disbelief that his son was dead, but then totally forgetting that when he learned of the caves. It fits so well with his earlier characterization. And Flint not telling him was probably the best 'revenge' he could get on him.

Ah, the family was a really nice touch! It's canon in the cartoon that at least part of her immediate family is dead, a fact that often gets overlooked. Also loved the 'Bean' nickname and the story behind it!
