Just had to say that I looove the phrase "like some brunette burrito", absolutely brilliant. Great little piece, so sweet, with good spelling and grammer. Sadly poor grammer puts me off stories, even if they have potentially brilliant storylines so keep up the good work

Nice idea to compare Danny's old lifestyle with his new and improved lifestyle! It helps the reader see how much his life has really changed because of Montana.
nikki.02 chapter 1 . 10/28/2007
One of the best reflective pieces I've read on the site! Your writing style is new and creative and the title matches. I love how you've sort of done the 'before and after' thing on Danny until he met Lindsay...really cute!

That was AMAZING. So adorable. I love how you compared his previous life to his current life in all aspects, I haven't quite read something like that. Awesome :)

my-sparkles chapter 1 . 4/22/2007
This story is so, so well written! :)

I love the idea - almost a 'before Lindsay' and a 'after Lindsay', a Lindsay-effect that is translated in so many dimensions of Danny's life... And you wrote it wonderfully! :)

I love the simple things mentioned, the routine things that changed, the motives that lead to that change and his feelings about it.

Quoting - "Apparently, it wasn’t enough to steal his heart—she has to steal his covers, too." - I love this line! It's funny, but at the same time says so much about Danny's feelings for Lindsay!

Quoting - "Not that she demands this of him-on the contrary, she is always grateful and surprised that he buys these automatically. It makes her happy, and seeing her happy makes him happy. He has become used to spoiling her." - I love this free-giving-non-demanding love that you described. It's utterly sweet, but it's not jealous or egoistic, so it's way stronger and it can last a lifetime. :)

Quoting - "He never used to sit in that old recliner chair his aunt had given him, the one that is an ugly yellow-green and sits by the living room window. He simply preferred to stretch out on the sofa after a long shift, and use the chair as a mail drop and laundry basket. But now, that chair gets used almost every night: two bodies, nestled under a blanket, watching the night sky over the city. And on the clearest nights, he wonders which stars are his lucky ones, so that he might thank them." - Loved the tenderness brought by this image. And the comfort and naturality that seems to be part of their relationship. I like it when it's possible to notice the strong link they have in tiny routine moments.

Quoting - "Sometimes, his fingers just ache, desperate to make contact with her. They’ve simply become so used to feeling her against them." and "Sex with her, well, it was far different: it was a most intense form of worship, a way to connect with her on a level deeper than he had ever known. He paid homage to her body, and offered up his heart as sacrifice." - This is way intense not to quote. And certainly portraits the meaning and the depth of his feelings. Loved it, loved it! :)

Quoting - "So, nowadays when he says those words, they are truthful and spoken frequently. Sometimes whispered, sometimes shouted, always sincere. When she says them back, he knows a happiness that used to be only imagined." - *faints* Right words in the right place. All I can say...

Wonderful, so wonderful and beautifully written!

Okay, if I were rich, I would hire you to just write pieces like this for me every time I had a bad day. This is a guaranteed spirit lifter. Perfect. I really needed something like this today. So thank you, thank you, thank you.
