wow. thats the best thing i can say, that really got to me. the things we do to make others happy. one of the things i admire about her is how strong she is. she reminds me of one of my friends. i can relate to Jimmy. he cares more about her well being than anything else and he's willing to live a lie and hide the truth to keep it that way. KEEP IT UP, I LOVE YOUR WORK!

*SQUEES* Oh my gosh! I LOVE this! That moment in the manga is the one that more than any other has moved me to tears. It's so incredibly sad and it broke my heart to see the way they both reacted to their situations.

That being said, I love the way you tackled that moment in your story. You branched it out and it really is something that could easily fit into the canon story. Shinichi and Ran were very in-character and I do like the way you kept Shinichi from melodramatics. He's sad and depressed about the situation but you also managed to maintain his strength and will to continue. The same goes for Ran-chan too!
