Well, a battle royale for the jewel? Kurama, heck, Naraku will be unable to stay away. I find this funny because so many people will try to turn this trap to their advantage, Youko will try to take Kagome and the jewel (ironically saving her life after so many attempts on this battle alone), Inuyasha will try to get close to his 'Kikyo' and Naraku will try to turn everyone against all so he can swoop in to claim the jewel too. If his interest in Kagome is also high he might even try to kidnap her too.

Naraku has appeared! And somehow he managed to get on Reikai's good graces enough to infiltrate the archives. Yikes, Kagome will need Youko's cunning to deal with this one enemy.

Woah, Inuyasha made an appearance. With Tetsusaiga and completely feral. I wonder what happened.

Poor Kuronue, but really they did good. What they miscalculated was the hidden weapon and nekomata. Otherwise I myself am disappointing the kidnapping tactic worked to this point. It has nothing to do with the characters themselves, but in real life the rule when protecting anything and anyone is that you have priorities and plans for such situations, that they froze or didn't account for this was... yeah.
It was a fun fight haha

Youko Kurama enters the scene! He is every bit the ruthless guy he is described as in the manga. Since you know, his only regret seems to be leaving Kuronue to die.
I like how Kagome is now accompanied by Sango Miroku and Kirara. Makes me wonder if she'll meet the rest of the gang later on.

Wow So Kagome lived and was apprenticed to Midoriko way back then? No wonder she was chosen as the protector of the jewel. In fact, as long as Kagome is it's guardian I doubt the bloody history of the thing ever comes to pass.
In a way it's already so different, I imagine the legend of the Shikon Jewel will be undeniably linked to her and only it's allure for power but unreachable because no one has gotten to use it since it's conception.

This... it was beautiful. Wondrous. Pleasure incarnate. I laughed. I cried. It hurt somewhere in my chest. At some points I wanted to scream, tell it to just "Stop! Please for the love of Kami! Stop!" But i kept reading becuse... God just because. Youve taken two fandoms and just... This was seamless. You are.
