PLEASE FINISH THIS STORY! IT'S REALLY ONE OF MY FAVORITES

I first read this story as a quiet, closeted 14 year old. I am now about to turn 26. During a conversation with a friend about reading old favourite fanfics during the pandemic lockdown, Samson came to my mind. It has always been my favourite, despite it being unfinished and very unlikely to ever be at this stage. I just wanted to let the author know, if they even remember this story or even have access to this account anymore, that there are still people coming back to this story over a decade after it was first published.

I've been extremely hyped since I heard the news about the new digimon adventure series coming this spring, so I thought to myself, 'To celebrate I must reread some of my favorite digimon fanfiction...' and this was the first one that came to my mind. Turns out a few more chapters were added since I last read it (back in late 2009-early 2010) and wow were they emotional. Amazing job, as usual.

I realize that you haven't updated the story in a while but I figured I would post a review just to say: thank you for writing such a wonderful story that left such a lasting impression on me! I absolutely love the way you've portrayed Koushiro's and Taichi's character, and your writing style is really phenomenal (it's difficult to pull off writing something with so much emotional levity in first person! At least, I always thought so). So yeah, maybe you won't see this any time soon since its been so long, or ever, but thanks c: I really enjoyed reading it all those years ago, and now.

I read the story (don't worry, I won't spoil it for other readers here) and I thoroughly enjoyed it. There were certainly some tear-jerking moments in it. Added to Favorites*

This story is pretty special for me in some sense... I mean it may also can be a short story 3

I can remember when I first read this story years ago, when I was in high school. (Maybe just like you on that time.) My first language is not English, though I started to read English novels and fanfics on website since then. Especially about Taishiro, I mean, I was quite crazy about this couple, after knowing what 'yaoi' means and re-watch the Digimon Adventure. However, considering how old the anime was(but it was classical, at least in my eyes.) and Taishiro somehow was even unremarkable when compared to Koumi and Yamatai or something. Besides I once wrote some Taishiro fanfics in Japanese and Chinese by myself, I nearly read up all of Japanese and Chinese Taishiro fanfic or Taishiro manga(while not much difficult, sadly), and I started read English Taishiro fanfic. At first I could hardly know who the 'Izzy' is...( We don't call Koushiro like that... our nickname for two may be the 'MR. Leader' and the 'Staff Officer')

Thinking about the gap in culture I could totally understand many good authors though cannot get their characters perfectly, no mention the translation of Digimon was totally a disaster.(No offense, but when I watch Disney's Digimon, I'd say it's another story, I think you might agree with me)

While when I read the Samson, this story, I finally found something familiar and made those two alive. Though only few chapters at that time, and the story hadn't developed very deeply yet, I could feel it would be a story totally different from others.
However I didn't remember the author, even didn't have an account in Fanfiction, too bad :(. So I couldn't find the story anymore. Plus, a year after that I was going to have many test and quite busy, I nearly forgot it. Even when I eventually read English fanfic so often, something always kept me from Digimon Fandom..( afraid of OOC, maybe)

However, maybe you know, this year is the 15th Anniversary for Digimon, and there's a official game on PSP, which's totally based on the Digimon Adventure's plot. For me, I certainly bought one and crazy about it again. I scanned some related fandoms, in Chinese one I surprisingly found someone translate one of your short story in Chinese, and she gave us your link. I clinked it and found you ARE the author of the Samson...Oh my dear.

It took me one night to read this story to this chapter, besides I was a little surprise it has not finished yet...(a good thing too, in some way, means I'm not that late however). You know, that year I just read to Sora and Taichi's conversation or somewhere. This story really give me a pretty... complex feeling. I couldn't remember how many times when I was nearly moved to tears, then suddenly amused by some lines, then soon become blush at those hot scenes. Though you said that some chapters you did on high school and you're not that satisfied with them (and I also agree, sometimes the characters may overdo their acting a little) it still reminds me of my love of Digimon, of this couple named Taishiro, of our 'MR. leader' and 'Staff officer'.

And all I want to say just thanks you so much.

I was quite astonished by your acknowledgement about Japanese, Japanese customs, and even Japanese official related works （like movies, Hikarioka's event and Children's war game, and so on, even including drama like Koushiro's love letter, the last is unknown by so many Japanese fans!) So I really want to ask if you've been in Japan or can you speak Japanese? That was AMAZING! And you have brilliant skill in making use of them to the most, like drunken :D To be honest, though I remember it quite clear, I couldn't appreciate it more how you apply this ネタ(neta, you may have known it as the official setting)

Then, about Sorato's part...lol. I mean, when I watch Digimon Adventure for the first time, I was about six or even younger. I was so believe in Taiora, and so moved by everything they've done to each other.(Today our leader is still my favourite 3) So I couldn't stand three years after, on that X'mas Sora chose Yamato! Since then in many years I quite had something about Yamato for no reason, to childish huh :D. Not only me, in both Japanese and Chinese fandom, people still argue over this topic. While, in one chapter in this story you apparently have the more profound comprehensions on this thing, so convincing that nearly make me change my mind. That's awesome! A really good job!

Then here's my request. Would you mind me translation this story into Japanese and Chinese? I'll mark your name to clarify it's written by you, as well as link it to you after... well, maybe catch up with your progress rate. (And maybe it would remind you of updating it when you leave it alone, haha, just joking .)

Uhhhh...not sure what the heck just happened- I'm up super late because I couldn't stop reading this...and I'm not even a fan of yaoi; in fact, I don't know that I've ever read one. Hmmmm, I guess that means I'm like Taichi in that one simple thing can change how I feel ;P Great story, and I hope you update soon. Seriously, this is one of the sweetest fics I've ever read. Pretty much every chapter since Taichi and Koushirou got together has had me smiling like an idiot and feeling giddy for them. The characterization is perfect, it's moving at the perfect pace, and I love the insight that the characters have when coming to terms with their sexuality or thinking about it.

Thanks to a few wonderful writers on here, I've become a huge fan of Koushirou. Your story just makes me love him more. And maybe -just maaaaaybe- it may have converted me into a Taishirou fan. I definitely planning on stalking that site that you have listed in your profile -

Oh, and thanks for the side note about the Yagami father being a drunkard. Your story made me realize how often he gets portrayed as a drunk, and I was going to ask if there was something from the series that suggested it. Now I need to check out the Japanese version!

I really love this so much that I am rereading the fic for the umpteenth time, I just gotta know is this still on?! I really love it! I didn't like the Samson song much till I read this!
