I like this idea of psychological warfare that is not present in-game. It adds an interesting dimension to the personalities of the Hunters.

lemme guess at the plot twist for the sequel: samus didnt really toss the hyper beam into the omega cannon blast, she tossed an empty missile/energy tank, one of her other weapons, or (even better(bigger BOOM!)) a power bomb (i read in one of the other fan-fics that while samus is in biped form, the power bombs are stored in one of the suit's legs). either that or the GF decided to copy the omega cannon and improved it, making it basically, ANOTHER hyper beam? cant wait to find out! (it would be even funnier if trace's diagnostics system was damaged and the omega cannon was destroyed, not the shock coil)

dude, forgot to say this before, but who uses a FIVE character password? the shortest one ive ever used was 6, and that the clue would have been so obvious that nobody would have been able to guess it. (if u want to know the clue, lemme know)

u have now lost a lot of respect from me. i am a huge metroid/star wars/star trek and sci-fi/action fan. I have metroid prime trilogy, pinball and hunters, as well as fusion, and have played zero mission. my favorite character in super smash bros through melee has been samus. she is currently my 3rd favorite in brawl, after cptn falcon and meta knight. and we all know metroid is all about the fight. plot is okay, but the HUNT is EVERYTHING

This is what I miss out on in the Metroid section. A story that can be described as perfection.

And quite the interesting plot twist, too. I enjoyed this story from beginning to end. You have a very nice way of portraying fights, as well.

Great story, but it make me wonder now how Mother Brain gets the Hyper Beam. Nice twist nyt the way. I am going to go read the next one now.

Okay, I've finished the first two chapters and will read more and review more as I go.

Weavel seems to be the most colourful character so far.

I don't know if you do this later on (we'll see), but the first two chapters need to be formatted differently. You've got big blocks of text which, while looking good on paper, are hard to read on the net, as well as dialogue set right next to each other, rather than indented beneath each other.

The characters seem interesting, even though we don't learn too much in the first two chapters. We'll see what happens next!
