Reviews for Two Lockets
Gambito chapter 7 . 8/23/2019
I can't believe that I haven't found this story before now! I've been searching for a story like this for a long time and then I stumbled upon this one. It was brilliant! I love the drama and the sense of mystery that you add to it as well as the magical element that stays throughout the story. I actually found myself feeling what the characters were feeling and after reading it I literally had to drag myself back to reality after I finished it. Thank you for taking the time to write this... :)
Isada chapter 7 . 11/16/2018
Excellently well written and engaging to read! Bravo! :)
whitehound chapter 7 . 9/28/2018
I love it. The portrayal of the house, the sentient books and the fate of Orion is especially striking, and as usual your versions of Harry and Severus are itneresting and believable..

Two minor quibbles. At some point the story must have been edited to bring it more into line with later canon revelations but you missed the bit early in the story where there's a portrait in which Sirius is younger than Regulus - or is it that one of them has wandered into a portrait of the other done at a different time? If so, that isn't clear.

Also, there hasn't been smog in London since the 1950s. Up to the 1980s the air in central London was still very dirty - spend a day there and then blow your nose and black tar would come out - but the pollution wasn't dense enough to be visible. You can however get quite impressive (but fairly clean) fog in London, due to being in the bottom of a valley with a damned great river.
Mephistopheles chapter 7 . 11/3/2017
The ending is so sweet and sad. It will haunt me for quite some time. This fanfic was bueatiful. I love it.
LadyKnightSam chapter 7 . 9/14/2016
Wow. This was really different, but really well written and good. Thank you!
bartlettpear chapter 4 . 6/7/2016
Walburga giving tips to Severus on how to be a polyjuiced woman was great. This is such a fascinating story, it feels grim and old but full of magic, just lovely.
bartlettpear chapter 2 . 6/7/2016
Severus and his mum at Spinners End with a locket was an endearing scene. Ah, Regulus and Severus, young love. That's a very sad but practical reason for choosing Slytherin :-( I assumed robes would automatically change to reflect the house one is sorted into. I like the moment you wrote between Walburga and Regulus, Sirius is an ass. Your take of characters and their backgrounds flow very well, wonderful writing. The cursing and vindictive thoughts Harry and Severus have for each other is hilarious to read. I love the concept of a sentient house and items, the candles sound sweet.
sarahsezlove chapter 7 . 12/5/2014
Sheer poetry.
Kiro Angel chapter 7 . 3/23/2014
Well... That was fun. And quite the ride. I don't know if I cried or laughed more, which all in all must mean that this is a very good story. I especially loved with the candles and books and HOLY HELL that scene with what happens to Orion, that was the most awesome thing ever I swear. I want to die like that. Anyway, great job. I love it to death.
KneazleGriff chapter 7 . 1/11/2014
Incredible story!
Saint Snape chapter 7 . 12/8/2013
I love how all your stories are unique, this one included. I was worried Severus and Harry were going to perish since most of the story is so grim but happily I was wrong. How you weave everything together is just brilliant. And the characterizations of Severus and Harry are spot on.
CheyRain chapter 7 . 7/22/2013
Wow. This is very darkly cheery. What a wonderful oxymoron of a story! An interesting read, that nevertheless creeped me out while I stayed awake in my dark room with insomnia. It has nothing to do with the Horcruxes, the Yeti, or the creepy living books. The candles were adorable. It's just creepy, because of the slow subtle reminders of insanity that the lunatic made no notice of. That's the scariest part of this to me. That means, a psychiatrist would have fun telling me what's wrong with me. God, what if I go nuts, like Harry did, and I don't even notice! It'd be one of those, 'oh, her, she's not nuts, I don't think. Just, something's not quite right.' :D

Norven chapter 7 . 2/9/2013

RosesAreForever23 chapter 7 . 1/21/2013
I loved this story- specifically this chapter. It was amazing to see how well the two didn't wok together (or so they thought) only to realize they are so imperfect together that they are perfect together :) All the quirks you had throughout the story, for example the song Harry tortured Severus with and the ideas of travel, were brilliant and I enjoyed reading how Harry's mind worked out things. I thank you for not only writing this, but showing us where your inspiration came from. Thanks a million!
