I've been treating myself to rereading a lot of fanfics that I loved and favorited when I was younger. It's been a fascinating journey seeing how many no longer hold up and I am almost embarrassed for ever enjoying them. Coming across yours, I am so excited to see not only that it still strongly holds up, but has so many nuances I'm sure I missed when I was younger.

Congrats for coming to completion with this story, as well as the sequel I'll be treating myself to read next. Writing isn't easy, and writing something good even less so. Well done for writing something genuinely wholesome, likable, and simultaneously simple and deep.

If you ever come back to the Pokemon community, I'll be excited to read. If not, more than okay, too, as you've already provided a couple of great stories to the genre.

i was thinking about chap 5 if one of the natural born evees was shiny and picked Aurora then someone would have notice and challenged her while looking for her friend. being young the shiny male evee would have figured out the move baby doll eyes then at the reunion the evees would become Sunset the espeon and the first slyveon. The irony of the main character having the first pure fairy type in the region when she wants to be a dragon master would have been interresting.

I remember reading this more than ten years ago, back in college. It's got a lot of the charm that I remember and the writing holds up well, certainly better than my own. Aurora and Laine are spunky and the plot feels like a real coming of age story.

HA! that was so wicked awesome that Aurora and Scar beat falkner and they didn't even know it until blackthorn city! for her first battle i think aurora kicked butt!

So, I re-read the summery of the sequel to this story then I thought about what pokemon Aurora has and I think she is going to become Falkners student.

Looool Clair is the bad *woman*! good thing, too, as I never liked her. Both in the games and the anime she was sooo arrogant and overly sure of herself. But I hope for ya that ya don't make Lance the antagonist! I actually like the dragon-master, and he's way better than Clair anyways.

the story's going great so far, much better quality than regular pokemon fics. i like it. :) but, well, jasmine's the only gym leader i had trouble against, and i had all the type advantages when i challenged her. of course, I'm not telling you to change anything - just pointing out aurora shouldn't have won the match that easily. but apart from that, this is mostly a very good story. keep on the good work. _

I have 3 words for this story: OMG. This has got to be the best Pokemon fic I've seen to date. I must say: You pulled the underdog defeating the tyrant thing PERFECTLY in this one. I will confess: This is highly Mary-Sue. But in my opinion, that's exactly what made it excellent! Good read man, I'm gonna read the sequel now. Peace!
