Kushina acted very calm that her son was assigned to a class mission S. Karin betraying Orochimaru, the truth I think you captured the essence of the character. I do see Karin betraying Orochimaru to escape a situation like the one she is in.

I never thought Tayuya wanted to join Konoha, this was highly unexpected. I wonder what information Tayuya will have given to Konoha. Although considering Tsunade's final two words, I can get a good idea of what I communicate.

I honestly hate Hinata and Naruto romance fics. They are far too vanilla for my taste. I've always thought Naruto needed someone to help ground him more than the supportive figure Hinata is. After all, the boy doesn't lack for confidence. Now, I'm not bashing Hinata here. The demure girl does have a certain charm after al. I'm just saying a stronger kunoichi would've been a better choice, like Temari, Ino, Anko, Fu, or Tayuya; just to name a few.

Still, this chapter had made me curious. That said, of it's just too plain I doubt it'll hold me for long. Naruto is usually pretty boring in stories where he gets with Hinata. Hopefully his mother can change that.

I want to read this ... I really do, but some parts are so cliche and cringe worthy that I just cannot. Like Naruto keeps on repeating that he is a killer and how many people he has killed. You call him mid jonin level but he could not even take on haku without the kyubi's chakra. He says that he loves hinata but there is no development in their relationship at all. And the code names for the team are very very cringy to me ... 'Pretty girl', 'blond boy' , 'dog boy' . You even named Naruto and kushina's swords in English, that just does not sit right with me. Naruto has supposedly been trained by Kushina his entire life yet all he still uses is shadow clones. I mean he should have learnt atleast some elemental jutsu. He saw hinata die against haku and still let him live , just what kind of a pussy is he ? And name me one mother who would feel proud when their son tells them that they are ready to sacrifice their life to become hokage ...all mother's love their children too much for shit like that to happen , sure there may be some exceptions but wtf dude. And this is still just following cannon does Kushina have any impact on this at all ? The idea is good but the execution is very cringe worthy. The cannon Naruto wants to be hokage to be acknowledged by people. This Naruto literally just keeps on saying that his dad was hokage so he'll also be hokage . What type of conviction is that.
There is another fic called a mother's knight , you should read that as it's portrayal of characters is atleast a bit more accurate than this. You are largely following cannon with only small divergence. These are only my thoughts not flames.

I loved this story. While I reviewed at least once about things in it that bothered me as a whole I did greatly enjoy the story and how it was written. Most of my issues were me being a bit too attached to canon when this is Fanfiction. I thank you for writing this story and hope to find more stories on the level of this and That Look. (which actually introduced me to you as an author) Anyway I hope you enjoyed writing this as much as I have enjoyed reading it.

While I'm enjoying this story so far there are a few things that annoy me, though it may simply be because at the time you wrote this that information wasn't released. But Kushina was in fact the seal master, not Minato, she was actually the one to teach him originally, but then he took the Nidaime's Hiraishin and improved it with fuinjustu and his specialized kunai. The Uzumaki were fuinjutsu specialists, it's why they were wiped out during the Third War. Also the Uzumaki did in fact have kekkei genkai, two in fact. Both of which appear in Karin. Then there is Itachi, knowing how he really is I can't explain your version beyond the timing of this story's release vs the manga's revelation of the truth of Itachi. Anyway I'm off to the next chapter. Ja ne!

Just when he thought he had already seen all of Kisame in this fic, Itachi goes and releases him. Sasuke's content SasuSaku caught me by surprise, I wasn't expecting Sasuke to develop budding feelings of affection towards Sakura. I begin to think that in this fic Sasuke will not survive, I do not think that this Naruto is in favor of reforming people with infinite opportunities.

Ok, Kushina's uncle had good excuses for not going to help his niece. I am sure that in the future I will see the kraken. I wonder what else Saishū would teach Naruto?

The sad thing is that you give more information in your fic that it happened with the Country of the Whirlpool than what Kishi gives in the canon. So the legacy of the Uzumaki Clan, does the sword have special properties? I guess I will find out in future chapters.

Naruto with that ridiculous hairstyle, I laughed a lot imagining it. Uzushiogakure's story in this fic is very different from the canon, but it has some coherence, and I like it.

Ya know, I got IRRATIONALLY angry while reading this chapter. How could Gabrella forgive her father so easily after the way she was treated?! I do get satisfaction, GREAT satisfaction in the fact that she refused to leave Kushina's team. Sasuke...as usual, rubs me the wrong way and then there's Kabuto...it's driving me crazy, but I think it's anticipation; I love it and hate it. I am greatly enjoying this story and I still can't believe that its 101 chapters! I know I have SO much to look forward to. Thank you for sharing your awesome story with us all!

Kisame was captured? I did not expect that, especially considering what happened in the manga when they captured him. But I think this chapter was written before that happened.

The damage Orochimaru received with the jutsu seems congruent, I never liked that just by changing his body he would recover his arms. In what situation you put Karin, I think it's the worst possible for her.

I haven't read any more chapters of the fic, but I don't think I need it to know that Sasuke's fate is not going to be pretty in this fic, and I doubt there is an opportunity for redemption. In the end, Sakura will end up being Tsunade's apprentice, I hope she can see the crooked path Sasuke is taking and reconsider. And if not, well, Tsunade has Hinata.
