That was really lovely. I like the little twist at the end. Given how many Hikaru no Go stories are unfinished, it was a lot of fun to see one take Hikaru all the way through his childhood. It was a really well done one-shot.

Oh, I love it. Especially that Sai was still the reason for Hikaru entering the Go world. And I love all the AU-ness revolving around Sai and Hikaru. It's got plenty of humor too and it's very cute; Hikaru acting all startstruck especially, haha. I do love that Akira and Hikaru are best friends too. The sleepover scene was very amusing too.

There were a couple of mistakes I found though:

1) When Kurata met Hikaru and said, "Oh, so your that kid!..." it's supposed to be you're.

2) I think you meant "Breathe, Hikaru!..." instead of "Breath" at the beginning of the last part.

3) Last: Sai isn't supposed to make the first move for the Beginner Dan series since the beginner dan gets black and reverse komi for handicap.

It's great: I love how you wrote it! I also really love how you depicted the Hikaru vs. Sai game with Hikaru pondering on how he played for all of the people who touched his life. It's inspirational and very powerful. :D

I liked reading this alternate universe fanfiction. Hikaru's personality wasn't quite the same, but his love for go was without a doubt the same. I love how you wrote this one-shot, it was beautifully written. I can't even properly think...I'm lacking the vocabulary. It was a cute story. I liked how the friendship and rivalry between Hikaru and Akira developed, and how everything progressed from there. I think how it's all tied nicely by how Sai was waiting for Hikaru. Thank you for writing and posting this lovely one-shot. It's definitely going to be added to my list of favorites.
