I am a fan of a slice of life fic, and this day before the end of it all slice is not one I usually see. I very much enjoyed Piccolo's discomfort with SSJ eyes. I more so enjoyed his failed attempt to be a hard butt sensei again. Not soft at all, Piccolo-san.

This is one of my favorite fics of all time. I adore Piccolo and Gohan and this just makes me smile every time I read it. I must have read it at least 20 times already. The interaction is great, Piccolo's insight is spot on hilarious...and the humor and seriousness are so well balanced. I LOVE it to DEATH and its so inspirational. Your writing style is awesome. Hopefully you write more for us!

ha ha! this was funny! Piccolo was all 'i'm just gonna shut him up by sending him over the cliff' and then when he did and Gohan didn't come back, then he began to worry. LOVED IT! Especially the part 'When he was downright pissed, he kicked your ass until he felt you had damn well paid up.' 'Cause it's true! Anyone who makes Gohan mad ends up getting severly hurt. hey, they should make that the number one rule of DBZ. NEVER MAKE GOHAN MAD UNLESS YOU HAVE A DEATH WISH! HA! now that would be funny!

He he, i still can't stop laughing at the last part where Piccolo wished there was a blood thirsty dinosaur at the bottom to make Gohan back to himself. LOVED IT!XD

Ah-ha, so Gohan babbles when he's nervous! That seems oddly in-character, and it's touching that only a friend that Gohan considers as trustworthy as Piccolo-san would get to see that vulnerable side of him. You're right - this works miles better than angst.

There's a lot of subtle humor here, which I think, in light of the day's events that follow, is for the best. Cleverly written, and at just the right length, this could have been an amazing sequence in the anime (if they had ever, y'know, considered it prudent to spend more than ten seconds at a time on a character's mental and emotional development). Fantastic, I just loved it.

This is easily one of the best Gohan fics out there in the realm of the internet. Thank you very much for writing this!
