This is such a beautiful story and one that I believe Thranduil would have done for his elves. It took a brave and compassionate king like him to lead what was left of his battered from War of the Last Alliance back to Greenwood to establish a sanctuary for them there. He didn't have help, didn't rely on a ring, but fight the dark shadows by his will. I'm so glad you get him right.

Ok, I am a very picky reader and that brought a tear to my eye. The imagery was so real I found myself holding my breath, like I was the one intruding on this very private moment between a father and his child.
