also Inu no Taisho's actual name is Tōga. i recently discovered this while re-watching the anime. my point from my previous review still stands though. as a human, naruto should not be able to transform the blade.

first time reading this, or the rewrite, which i will get to later. however, as much as i will likely enjoy this fic. i should point out one very big detail that most of these fics ignore. humans cannot awaken Tessaiga's true form. the sword requires 2 things, a heart not tainted by hatred for humans, and Youkai or demonic energy.

this means that any human can pick up and handle the sword. but without demonic energy, they cannot awaken the swords true form, nor can they utilize it's various skills. such as the Wind Scar, Backlash wave, Barrier breaking ability, Adamant Barrage, its ability to syphon off Youkai and cut the source of a demons Youkai, or the Meido Zangetsuha.

and it's most useful skill, the ability to absorb new powers, and adapt them into new skills attuned to Tessaiga's nature as a blade that cuts.

if you pay attention, every power that Tessaiga has is based around cutting in some way. it's also why Meido Zangetsuha can become the Meido Blades when used with Tessaiga, rather than the typical portal that Shishinki and Tensaiga created.

Red Tessaiga cuts barriers, Diamond Tessaiga fires Diamond shard that cut barriers and are extremely strong and sharp, Dragon scaled Tessaiga cuts the source of a Demons Youkai, Black tessaiga fires cutting blades made up of Portals to hell (IE, the Meido blades).

the entire purpose of the sword, is to cut. hence why it is called the "Fang of Destruction".

but all of this is moot, if the person wielding the sword does not have demonic energy, as without it, the sword will not transform. so in the hands of a human (ANY HUMAN) Tessaiga is nothing but a battered and rusty hunk of steel.

if you want naruto to wield Tessaiga, he NEEDS to be at least a half demon. jinchuuriki do not count as such, as the Bijuu are NOT Demons. Charka cannot be used as a substitute for Demonic energy.

seriously, check the lore, Tessaiga NEEDS Demonic energy to transform or use its powers. NO EXCEPTIONS.

if naruto is not a demon or half demon, he cannot wield Tessaiga's true power.

now, there are NUMEROUS ways naruto could gain demonic blood, and thus the power he needs to awaken the blade. the biggest, is to say 1000 demons and bath in their blood.

basically he needs to kill 1000 demons and be covered in their blood in the process, as it is the blood, and not the act of killing the demons, which conveys the transformation.

the next method is to be adopted into a demon clan. this requires a blood ritual and typically results in a half demon.

there are other methods, but those are the main two, and the most viable for this fic (Or the rewrite) to work.

Not worth the read past second chapter unless you like Naruto, the protagonist, being hopelessly stupid and naive. That fixation on Sakura with his near mental retardation is no way to start a quality story regardless of pending power-ups unless it includes a raw intelligence boost or fusion with a more intelligent being. The only way Naruto could wield Tessaiga was if he was a Hanyou(Half-Demon). So unless you have him be born one,made into one over time,or have Kyuubi make him one then he can't wield the sword properly.

Honestly I think I prefer this version to the new one. Naruto is a bit more serious, always like that interpretation, and the story telling is pretty good.
