Salishaventura chapter 8 . 7/7/2019 Very well written story. Thanks for sharing your talent with us. |
StefKroner chapter 8 . 2/24/2019 God, this is just an amazing story. like the rest of your stories this masterpiece! |
Asanka chapter 8 . 12/8/2018 Hey, Gaelic. Truth to be told, I've long been a fan of your works on Supernatural, but I realized that I didn't even get to write any decent review of your stories, not once. So now I'm doing it, not only for this fic in particular, but for many others. Each of your pieces is unique, but I love that they all have similarities in the story structure, especially when you manage to make the plot escalate in the intensity until reaching the ultimate climax, with mini climaxes. I also love the fact that you always put cultural, historical and philosophical values in the story, making it feels so much more than just a fic. Last but not least, my fav part is the way you could hurt Dean but also making the hurt meaningful, so the satisfaction is multiplied when the story ends. While doing so, you could also put Sam on the integral position where the story just won't work without him and that Dean won't survive without his brother (and vice versa). Gotta miss more of your good ole' SPN ff. Thanks a load for bestowing such works upon me :) |
WhatAmIDoingHere chapter 8 . 6/12/2018 Whoa. This story was awesome. The Claire character/Ikea whatever was soooo creepy! I think this might be your best story. I dunno. They are all so good it's truly hard to pick. In any event, thank you. I've read through all at least twice. They never get old. Excellent story telling! What a treat! You are a gifted writer. Thank you for sharing your time and talent. |
somersault-j chapter 8 . 2/10/2018 PLEASE AND YES AND THANK YOU! Jeeeeeesus Christ! Wow, just wow! OF COURSE YOU HAD TO END IT WITH 'CARRY ON WAYWARD SON'. Guh, so fitting! Both boys were so vulnerable and you hurt them so good. Loved, loved, loved the idea with the talisman. For both Sam and Dean. But especially Lobo! I loved Abe's outsider POV on the brotherly relationship, on Sam and Dean. And damn, the case! I'm glad I'm still discovering stories from you I haven't read! 3 I loved it! |
Twinsarein chapter 7 . 1/20/2018 Whoosh, you’ve really put Dean through metaphorical hell with this one. Loved the imagery of him hustling from one place to the other with no clothes on, though. Sexy. Hope Abe’s words to Sam got through. As surrounded by darkness as our boy’s are both still have so much light in them. |
Twinsarein chapter 6 . 1/20/2018 Yay! Sam put the thing in Sal. That made em very happy. I was surprised he was willing to do something like that to a human, no matter how well deserved it was, but by his reaction at the end, I’m not sure he really thought the consequences all through. Possible, I guess, especially considering how he was feeling when he did it, and how young he really is. Also, yay for more Bobby. I love that crusty old man. I’ll be interesting to learn more about his story with Maggie. I’ll also be interested in finding out what really happened to Yeats - if he killed himself, if his daughter did it somehow. I hope Lobo is okay, though. |
Twinsarein chapter 5 . 1/19/2018 Jeez, I figured Sam wasn’t wearing his amulet, since the creature was able to get into him and not Dean, but why did he put it under his bed? Out of the two of them, he was the one who seemed to think it would actually work. Unless it fell there, and he wasn’t aware of it. I feel for Claire. That poor girl has gone around the deep end. There are many ways to become a monster, unfortunately. I feel for Yeats, too, although to not even check on his daughter, to just assume death. Jesus, that was a great big f*** up. No wonder he didn’t want to believe she could be alive, when it was first proposed. Still loving Abe. He needs to stick around and be their other surrogate dad. Him and Bobby. Also loved Sam’s conversation with the thing in him; how hard he was hanging on to what Dean told him in his more coherent moment, and his last line about following orders now. Excellent. I am tired of Sal. They need to get that thing out of Sam, and put it in Sal. I won’t cry if that’s the route the story goes. I’ll cheer, instead. |
Twinsarein chapter 4 . 1/19/2018 Hey, a bit of a break for the boys and the readers with most of this chapter. I was actually able to breath through the whole thing. :). Cool getting some background on Yeats, although you have me really curious on what went on between Bobby and Maggie. I have a question for you, feel free to not answer. So many people in this fandom thing of Sammy as the most dominant of the two brothers, and have front he beginning. It seems you have a different view of him, at least in the early seasons (since I haven’t read any stories set in later seasons, yet). I feel more as you seem to, but my question is, why do you see him that way. It’s just a curiosity thing for me, and somethimes it helps me clarify my own thoughts about a character, to know how others perceive them. |
Twinsarein chapter 3 . 1/19/2018 Whew! What an intense chapter! I keep forgetting to mention the creepy starts to these chapters. That is quite a bad guy you are building. Also, the alcohol going up the wall in the last chapter upped the creep factor by ten. Holy Hannah! As to this chapter, the description of Dean weakening , getting colder, going under - I’m going to have a brain aneurysm or something if I keep holding my breath during your stories. But, yay for Lobo! I loved Abe’s explanation about why it might have adopted Dean - kindred spirits is right. Dean is all those things and so many more. Loved also how well Sam took care of Dean - he was Dean’s rock during all of that, and it was nice to read that. Liked Abe observation of them, too - Sam is Dean’s purpose (even more than hunting), and Dean is Sam’s anchor. So very true. The whole walk through the woods was painful, but I loved how much Sam was showing he u Nader stood his brother, and was able to help him without triggering Dean’s stubbornness. |
Twinsarein chapter 2 . 1/18/2018 Abe is a great character to both help the boys get some perspective on their lives/situation, as well as a chance to get someone else’s take on their dad. I can’t believe Sal, though. All that for a couple hundred dollars. As a bully he’s pretty pathetic, but scary because of the lengths he’s willing to go to. |
Twinsarein chapter 1 . 1/18/2018 Oh, I really liked your description of Dean’s slow hustle. We don’t get to see that on the show, because there isn’t enough time. That was masterfully done. Poor Sammy getting himself drunk, though, so he could forget. I bet the words he still doesn’t remember hurt Dean worse than the bullet, though, and for longer. Yay for Abe being back, and for treating Dean with such respect that he notices. More people need to treat Dean that way. You have me curious with the lobo - where he came from, why he’s adopted our boys (or just Dean, I’m not clear on that, yet), what part he’s going to play. Dean certainly has a way with animals and kids - it’s nice to see that in so many of your stories (which, since I’m only on my third is kind of jumping the gun to say, I guess). |
JeffStarships chapter 8 . 5/22/2017 Amazing. Tears slid down my face when I finished this story. It was beautiful. Thank you. |
X-parrot chapter 8 . 3/25/2017 Just recently discovered your SPN fic - right in time to get a cold that let me spend all day in bed yesterday reading through it, including this story, which was time well spent! Intense and fascinating exploration of the boys' headspaces at this moment in their journey, with a freaky and compelling monster and some nicely developed OCs! And damn but you put Dean through the wringer - I've been reading a lot of hurt!Sam fic so am enjoying the change of pace. Especially when Sam is with his brother all the way to worry and hold on and call him back, just, aww. I particularly liked the hypothermia in the woods, pushed a bunch of my buttons. Thank you for writing this! |
spyslikeus chapter 8 . 1/12/2017 Absolutely blew me away. Your style, imagery, balance - all just add up to one of the most well crafted and enjoyable stories I've read. I can wait to read through the rest of your works. Thank you once again, truly. |
