*pokes out head* Oh, hello. This is from fictionpress, by the way. When I saw that you had so many Harry Potter stories up, I was sorely tempted to come check them out. Currently, I'm working on a crossover Charmed/Harry Potter story with a close friend - intensely involving Snape, the favorite character of both of us. *grin* Anyway, I like your style. It's very... hmm, I can't really explain it. When I read it, I feel almost as if I'm having an out-of-body experience. I love how you portray Hugo; I'll have to read more of your oneshots. *smiles*

Nice. Hugo is usually a rather over looked character, so it's good to see about him!

Gaby Black chapter 1 . 7/12/2008
I've never read a fic about Hugo before, and I thought this was very interesting. I felt sorry for him that he was overlooked by his family, but, considering most of his family have strong characters, it's very likely. A very good read.

I never thought of Hugo that way. I never really thought of hugo actaully. I love it I must say. Well done!
blobjelly chapter 1 . 5/4/2008
very nice character sketch. Although it's a bit long.
Tawny Owl chapter 1 . 4/25/2008
I actually found that quite creepy. Enjoyed it though, and I like the idea that all the next generation end up in different houses.
Ky-lassassin chapter 1 . 4/18/2008
Really nice! I liked the idea of a Hufflepuff Lily and a Slytherin Albus, and how he feels overshadowed by his parents and uncles.

I also liked the idea that he's doing what *other* people want instead of what he wants. I'm curious as to what House he would have been Sorted into, though leaving it up the the reader's imagination was good.

And I really liked the end. Good endings are important. :)

Aww this was a very simple oneshot yet really well written. Haha Al in Slytherin. That made me smirk. Altogether I enjoyed reading this character sketch of Hugo!

Megsy42 chapter 1 . 4/15/2008
That was really powerful! Although it seemed a bit dark to be coming from a young boy, it really defined his quiet but interesting character. I'd expect him to be sorted into Slytherin. There really should have been more focus on him in the Epilogue, he might as well have just been another student getting on the train. Good job with this ]
Heart4Happiness chapter 1 . 4/15/2008
I really enjoyed this. Your description and language is stunning, and I love the way you ended.
000989 chapter 1 . 4/14/2008
Ah I loved your descriptions of Hugo. Good job :)
Cuban Sombrero Gal chapter 1 . 4/14/2008
I definitely think it fits well into the timeline here. As soon as a person is sorted, they seem to become a little braver, a little smarter, a little more cunning or a little more loyal, and not knowing where you belong is a little more likely when you haven't been sorted yet.

I also enjoyed Hugo in this. I've seen similar characterisations in a few other stories, but your delightful prose and ideas made this one of the better, for sure.

Thanks for a great read.
