Sometimes the shortest stories are the most powerful. I just read this THREE times to fully appreciate just how much you packed into a few hundred words. It has the power, emotion, and surprisingly, even plot, of a much longer story.

oh WOW - poor Dean, forced to watch his own hands kill his brother. And SAM! To have to see Dean killing him ... and still loving him.

This has so much feeling in such a short story. I love the brothers reactions on waking. Beautiful.

This is such a good one. Wow. You had me gaping at the screen for a while not quite knowing what to think other than just... wow. This is powerful. About the worst case scenario for Sam and Dean. Which is why it was so great that they do have friends looking out for them when they need it most. Gah, that end conversation got to me, though. WOW.

Great short fic and loved that it was Dean who was possessed this time as, on the show, it has been Sam. Really emotional when you revealed Sam's 'dying' words before Jefferson gave him CPR and so believable Sam and Dean's reactions when coming too. Perfect ending - Sam huffed and pulled at him again, even more strengthless, even more undeniable. Dean finally gave in, moving closer until his forehead touched Sam's shoulder and his brother's arm could curl around his waist. Then Sam sighed raspily, content.

Leaving Dean utterly bewildered. "Keep your enemies closer?" he finally whispered in a raw voice.

Sam's head rolled on the pillow. "Fam'ly closest," he mumbled.

Dean swallowed and closed his eyes and held on.

The door to the room quietly opened a moment, then shut. Beyond it, John's friends let his sons sleep and mend, keeping quiet watch.

Trying so hard to keep from crying after you revealed what Sam said as he was being killed. Wow, this was a powerful story.

I'm going to favourite this. Haha, I normally try to avoid Fav'ing your stories because I know that if I did my Fave list would be full of them (seriously, I wouldn't even need to go to your profile - everything would be in my Fave's). I had to settle with Fav Author'ing you.

But, I dunno, I really liked this one. Short and simple but undeniably deep and incredible. :)

This was extremely short, but extremely good. The possession and reunion bit are always interesting-and it's funny in the ironic sense that this time, it was Dean who was possessed instead of Sam.

*squeal* That was great! Just the right amount of angst and fluff all wrapped up in one. Simply loved the line "Keep your enemies close but your family closest." It really portrays Sam and Dean's relationship well.

I have to admit, this story is one of my favorites from you. I think it's because there's a glimpse of the support system in place for the guys, even though they may not realize it's there. It's cool to see other hunters being fond of the boys and ready to step up to help them, even though the hunters probably go for months and years without ever coming to anyone else's aid. It's short but really good.
