This story is still one of my favorites. Excellent stuff.

Best Slayers fic ever. Also, best fanfiction I've ever read. A good one to go back and read every once in a while, even though it's technically unfinished. The Xellos and Filia interaction is my absolute favorite.

It's been years since I've read Shards, certainly back when it was fewer chapters but still heavy, engaging, and fantastic to read. Not much has changed, in that respect. Like a favorite book, I keep coming back to it, reading bits and pieces, remembering favorite scenes, giggling over jokes that I've read before but can still, inexplicably, find funny.

As sad as I am that the story has seem to reach permanent hiatus, I'm happy that it's here to come back to and enjoy, and that 14-year-old me had at least a little bit of taste regarding goodfic. I still consider this the cream of the crop among the Slayers fandom, and though you may not see my review, or may not even care, I'd like to give you extreme kudos for sticking with it as long as you did, and giving me, at least, a good laugh and a wild ride along the way.

*SQUEE!* You rule! The infamous cross-dressing 17! Way to live up to canon. Ya know, Mina annoyed me at first, but boy she grows on you the same way Lina and Filia do, and it's quoted Voltaire... yay. Gourry and the fatherly talk, priceless. I can hear it now, he'd leave the poor girl so confused if she didn't already probably know most of it. Anyway, enough of the schizo part of this review.

I am adoring this story so far and I can't wait to read more of it. You have a very interesting perspective on Gaav that has depth to it, unlike some of the other portrayals of him that are very one-dimensional. You're true to the spirit of Slayers, while adding drama and making it your own story, and that is something hard to do. Thank you for posting this on FF, otherwise I'd never have found it! Please do keep up the good work.

"THREE YEARS" have already passed and still not even ONE single chapter posted! WHAT THE HELL AM I GOING TO DO KNOW! I REALLY need to know how this story is going to continue! The damn plot is just too damn good!

Seriously, Id truly appreciate it if ANYONE could take care of this fanfic. Id have no problems to take that responsibility, if it wasnt for the fact that Im neither English nor American and, therefore, have great difficulty in writing in this language.

Anyways, lets not leave it like this, ok? Preety please? Ill be waiting for any novelty!

So. We made a deal, wherein, for every additional chapter of Random Acts of Silliness I wrote, you would submit a new chapter of Hell Hazard. If there are any fics that you'd like to suggest, or any writings on series that I've seen (I haven't seen everything, but I've seen a lot), I will write them, in exchange for new chapters of Shards of Chaos.

Because I am getting really, really bent out of shape wondering what happens next.

This is a great story. I don't think that I've seen anyone else who wrote a Gaav story, but then I don't really look around too much at Slayers fanfiction as they seem to inevitably end up with Xellos hitting on Zelgadis for some perverse reason.

More than that though, thank you for writing this story WELL. You have no idea how irritating it gets to read a story written by someone who stopped paying attention to proper grammar in the third grade. Just because you're not getting paid or graded on this writing doesn't mean that you should treat it with any less dedication, and not too many people I read seem to notice that. Though the thought of Xellos as a father gives me the willies.

For this IS a good story. I found it on a Gaav fansite, next to this "Dragondance" one that was retch-worthy. (By the way, thank you for not fluffifying Gaav. That would be nauseating, and I'm glad you kept him such a bastard.) It's well written, and keeps what makes Slayers so good, the humor and the drama together and working.

I hope that you do eventually update this. Speaking from experience, it's very difficult to take up again what you set aside. But I assure you, it would be WORTH it, for it's the best Slayer's fic I've read. I was so horribly disapointed when I came to the end of it on AA's site, and saw the notice that it wouldn't be updated. It really needs to be. Hope you do.
