Wow, I knew I was going to like this story the second I read the teaser, but you completely exceeded my expectations. The characterisations are amazing but I think that what stands it above so many others that I read is the ease with which you can read it. Really good concept and you take on the exact right amount of story line for your length. Understated beauty.

Aw, I love that Luke knows Rory's favorite color. That's so like him to remember that kind of stuff. It also goes to show how much more of a father he is to Rory than He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named is.

You know that song Spongebob and Mr. Krabs sing when Spongebob has to work for Plankton? That's stuck in my head for some odd reason.

Jeez, you're really perking me up with this adorable story. Once again, it takes what we "know" to a new level. The way you portray Luke and Lorelai's budding friendship is spectacular. You covered all the bases, Rory's favorite color, the porch rail, the chicken pox, even Lorelai's celebration of her promotion with champange. I love it, and I can't wait to go on and read the next chapter.

I read part of this before when you were seeking an opinion. Well, I just read the whole first part...and I have tell you, it was amazing. I can't pinpoint the exact amazingness, since there's so much of it, but I love the Louis Armstrong impersonation. It's so Lorelai, obviously since we seen it before, but in that context, it was simply perfect. And the ending! Oh, the ending! Pure love, miss. I love the retraction of the "scouts honor." Perfect. I love it. And this gleeful review rant is over. I'm reading more now.
