Entertaining and with much sequel potential.
Can't see much good coming if Naruto tries to govern a country that's at least a week's travel from his small home village, and with easy civil transport likely a major deficiency.

I would have loved to see how stability will be achieved again.

I haven't read the prequel. But it sounds dark. And after all this Naruto is still naive - giving away information about his village (amount of ninjas) that could compromise security, handing out justu to non village members he barely knows but knows hates him, accepting employment from an unknown employer without asking the term as of the job of even what it is (or if it clashes with his moral as or the standards his village lives by). I'm sorry but this is beyond ridiculous; it's stupid. Claiming he wants to be friends with Matsuri is not an excuse. He should be smartening up by now and putting his village first.

OH MY GOSH. That's hilarious. Of course he would become an emperor.

Poor Naruto. He can never just live in a hut. He has to rule the world, whether he likes it or not.

I'm looking forward to how everything plays out though. I hadn't really considered it, but men like Gato could be extremely powerful in this kind of situation, when he's really only a minor threat to well-trained ninja in canon.

Definitely lighter than "The Hokage Great and Terrible", but I just as definitely liked it. It was an enjoyable, quick read. I hope that you do make more stories in this setting, even though I doubt that you will since you seem to have moved on from Naruto fiction. Still, it would certainly be nice to see more stuff in this very AU world.

I like both of the stories over all but this story seems incomplete because of your summary. To be specific there was no new war all they did at the end was kill Gato and his men and agreed to take over the village.

Good add on story to the original, but the ending kind of fell flat. Nonetheless, I still enjoyed the read.
