On another note: I love this chapter to bits! Awesome chunks of fluff and humor stuffed in there. Great work! Seriously. And despite the initial "What, Itachi is joking around with Deidara, so weird" vibe, I realized that the characters are all about as in-character as they can possibly get in the circumstances provided. So again, I applaud you.

This chapter is a bit dark. But what Deidara says about their life as shinobi makes sense; I never really thought about it that way. I've been listening to some Hollywood Undead as I read this story, and a few of the songs fit really well.

I really like this. Like, really. It's well-written (thank God) and though the plot itself is vague/generic so far, I'm definitely interested enough to keep reading.
At first I was like, "Way to abuse his trust, Itachi."
But then I was more like, "Aww, overprotective huh?"
I was glad to have that bit in Deidara's point of view.
