Ok, I know I'm late to this party but I've been hooked on your story! There have been so many good bits in each chapter, you've captured their personalities so well. When Jack couldn't find his coat in this one just broke my heart, and then that end scene with Ianto-all so good!

So glad Ianto's family welcomed Jack into their home and lives. Love the ending and how Ianto dealt with Jack's issues.

Since there are not enough new Torchwood or Jack and Ianto stories out there, I go back and read some of my very favorites. Which yours are for sure. But I was reading the top part of this where you said you were taking Jack non-lethal wounds like they said in Cyberwoman. They may have said it in the log or somewhere but it isn't said on the show its self. I have watched that and rewatched that. In fact someone made the comment about Ianto being suspended for 4 weeks. But it hasn't been 4 weeks when he comes back in to clean up when Jack and Gwen are standing in the boardroom window. Jack still has his split lip and even a regular person would be healed by then. It's still very fresh. So the suspension would have had to have been after he came back in at the end. Anyway the whole point of that was I wanted to know where it says that about his healing. Because I don't see it in the show.

This was is one of the best stories I read so far. It made me cry and it made me laugh. You're a truly talented writer!

This story was amazing, one of the best I've read in a long time! And the end, with Jack finally getting a Christmas...It made me cry lol. Well done :)

Couldn't they just tell everyone that it was some alien healing artifact thing that makes people recover from injuries really fast?

I could fricking kill those beings who did this to jack. And i would make them suffer.

Truly an amazing story - I don't know how you've managed to to convery such an intense and myriad series of emotions - so many times, I found that I wasn't breathing until I saw spots and the words were blurry! You have an unbelieveable depth of insight into the human psyche and you have my utmost admiration. Thank you for sharing with us.

Oh, I know exactly what she thought - she thought that Jack would want to ride with HER, because SHE'S special and SHE'S the heart of TW and no one can understand him the way SHE can, and blah, blah, blah - the usual tripe that flows through Gwen bloody Cooper's brain.

This is my second time reading A&D, and I this may be some of the most profound words I've ever read anywhere:

"I don't know if I'm ready. I just know it's something that I have to do. I faced down Daleks without flinching, Ianto, back when dead really meant dead for me. I won't accept that I'm too frightened now to face six men who can't actually do me any permanent damage."

This whole story is amazing, but this sort paragraph simply epitomises your gift for writing and for expressing the most difficult, intense and powerful emotions.
