Really beautiful!

Really good way to dive into Sam's psyche. Love how you tied it to the dream root, and how everything in his hallway he felt was his fault, his responsibility. Glad Dean figured out Mom apologized cause of the demon, and for Sam not to worry about it. Excellent built, wonderfully wording on the brothers, and heart racing action of trying to save Sam. Who is saving Dean.

This was a really cool idea. I liked the thought of Sammy having all these doors and locks, trying to hide his worst fears and nightmares. Poor Sam. He totally would hide all of this away, trying to lock it up and forget it.

Heartbreaking. And so true. If there was ever a person who held onto things that weren't his fault, or things he should let go, it's Sam Winchester.

I love the irony of Dean saying to Bobby that he knows all Sam's secrets, just before taking the dreamroot and finding out that - no - he doesn't know all Sam's secrets, or even half of all the things that Sam blames himself for.

And then - Dean goes and solves it all for him.

But the part where Sam's being circled by the shadows and Dean has to watch "himself" accuse Sam of letting him burn - that part still chocking me up.

Great fic. Poor Sammy, yep, I can see his little OCD mind having all the doors color-coded and such, and him not letting go. Of anything. Ever. I'm beginning to think Sammy needs a 12 step program for over-achievement; the boy just doesn't know when to quit the field.

Just utterly wonderful. How I wish we'd seen some insight into Sammy's fears and nightmares like this in DALDOM. The fact that there were thousands upon thousands of these locked doors in Sam's mind was heartbreaking. I loved seeing Dean realise exactly how much Sam locks away in that mind of his.
