The plot of this fanfiction was way too contrived. There are so many plot holes this story is like Swiss cheese.

1.) If Itachi is supposedly a playboy, then why did he settle for Minato so easily? Presumably Sasuke has followed him on other dates and seen all the men he dated.

2.) If dating all those men was a lie and he's been with Minato this whole time, that means the date with Minato was the first time Sasuke followed him since he's never seen Minato before. How could Itachi possibly know that Sasuke would: a.) follow him on this particular date when he didn't follow him on any of the others. b.) run into Naruto and get to know him.

3.) Similarly, how did Minato know that Naruto would a.) follow him on his first date in years when Naruto has no prior history of secretly following him around. b.) run into Sasuke and get to know him.

4.) There are many, many ways Itachi and Minato's plan could have backfired on them. For example, the two boys could have sat on opposite sides of the restaurant, Sasuke could have watched their date while sitting in a parked car across the street, Naruto could have refused to cooperate with Sasuke.

5.) The entire reason why the boys were willing to sit together at the restaurant is because they had just met at Ino's diner and recognized each other. However, Minato answered Itachi's newspaper ad BEFORE Naruto and Sasuke ever met. The accidental meeting at Ino's diner is the only thing that makes this plot somewhat work, and Minato and Itachi couldn't possibly have planned for it.

6.) Without the accidental meeting at the diner, Naruto and Sasuke would have been strangers when they followed Minato and Itachi on their date. That makes them agreeing to sit together at the restaurant virtually impossible. Did Minato and Itachi expect the boys to follow them on every single date and then eventually start to recognize each other as mutual stalkers? This is the happy, healthy romance they wanted the boys to have?

7.) Itachi placed a personal ad in the newspaper so he could go on a date with a man he was already dating! How did Minato and Itachi know that Naruto would pick Itachi's personal ad out of all the others?

8.) Why was all the deception even necessary in the first place? Naruto desperately wanted his father to date someone. He would have been happy if Minato had told him about Itachi!

9.) For how long had the two of them been hiding their relationship? Why did they think it was okay to lie to the boys and manipulate them to this extent? Minato and Itachi both sound like horrible people, to be honest.

10.) Minato and Itachi didn't have to resort to fake dating ploys in order to play matchmaker. There were easier, more normal ways to do it, like for example introducing the boys to each other after they'd announced their relationship. To get the ball rolling, they could have encouraged the boys to hang out together for the sake of family unity. This would have been a much simpler approach and not the convoluted mess the story came up with. The story never presented a reason why a fake dating ploy was absolutely necessary, why Minato and Itachi couldn't play matchmaker in a normal way.

There's even more plot holes that I could mention besides these, but I'm going to stop here. Writing out this review, I've put more thought into your shitty plot than you did.

The end is such a twist! I didn't see that coming! So Minato and Itachi were hooking them all along...ha.
Anyways, I think I may have a slight crush on your Naruto (all Naruto characters in your story).
And I feel the need to tell you that this was the funniest story I read so far! :D
