I came here to review this fic (which I read offline last night) and beg for more. I know how annoying this can be for authors, but I just can't help it! You've created so many new conflicts/complications and I'm very interested in seeing how all the characters - original and otherwise - deal with this new turn of events. Imagine my delight when I saw that you'd posted a part 11! (*dances for joy*) This is going to be an irritatingly long review, but I just have to say that I love the way you not only introduced new characters with this series, but modified the pre-existing ones by aging them and giving them a history that covers the nearly-20 years between cannon and your series. This worked so well in terms of how Mara, Jimmy, et al fit into the group dynamic. I know I've said it before, but thank you for this fantastic series.

I've been meaning to comment on these stories since the first one, but I'm habitually lazy and you are a fast writer. Such short waits between installments is a big treat, believe me. Since this one is my last chance to comment (for now), I had to tell you how much I enjoy these stories. You have the teenager thing down pat and you are really good at the "adults trying to understand teenagers" thing as well. I may not precisely agree with all of your characterizations of the DC crowd 16 years later, but they are reasonable and consistent and a lot of fun! You clearly know your characters very well and enjoy them. The result is one of the best series I have read. My only complaints are technical in nature. There are too many places where words are left out or the editing was clearly incomplete. Probably a consequence of the speed of composition, but it does tend to break the mood when the reader has to figure out what the sentence is supposed to be. Also, it is not always clear who is speaking. Again, this can break the mood of the story. But, overall, two enthusiastic thumbs up!

Ah, yes, more maraverse. Poor Mara. She's got a boyfreind now, and -every- one knows it. Wonder how much is the poll on Jordy winning the fight with Baulis... :)
