awww! such a ride. i've just discovered this fic today, and marathon it the whole night. i think...this was the kind of reading that left you feeling satisfied, content, and flushed with fuzzy feeling as the aftertaste. lovee the setting sp much, i can almost sensed the hot desert winds passing through my skins!and the whole car ride was really amusing. my fave part was when Matt bought camera and promises that he'll take pics of Mello smiling. and the part when Mello said "i am happythe part when he realizes that he was a happy guy all made me feel happy, too. like, that part brought an instant smile, and being glad for him, too. hahahahha. (sorry that didnt make sense). their raw emotion shone brightly in this fic; i can almost feel Matt's genuiness, and Mello's itching for action. Spot on characrerization you have in all, thank you for writing this writing has some certain sweetness that invokes happy feeling silently.

I loved this so much omg you don't even know. The ending made me sooo happy, and Matt and Mello were so cute. I really fell in love with this, and I can't even. It was perfect. ;}

Haha! Mello is so funny when he's drunk;D that scene was so funny were Matty was trying to be all sentimental and give an apology, and all Mello kept saying was that he had nice hair.. This fic is so good and entertaining! I love reading this, it gives me a break from all the super angsty fics I read. Haha this is definitely one of my favorites:)

i love deah note it made me sad when Mello and Matt died, but after i watched the seasons i had to find stories that Mello and Matt lived together, had exciting adventures/cases and lived happily. i read a few fan-fictions but yours was by far the best and caught my attention and made me read further. i'm pretty sure you are proud of yourself for writing such an enjoyable, suspicious, entertaining and exciting story. i cannot wait to read other novels you have written and encourage you to write more fan-fiction stories not only of death note but other books/movies that have caught your intrest or attention, and if i were someone in charge of anime or manga or any movie area, i would recommend your stories to be turned into a manga, anime or movie. as i have previously said before you are a talented and gifted writer. i wish i had your ability to write such enjoyable stories, but reading also brings me joy, happiness, contentment and enjoyment.

this story was amazing. i really liked the way you've portrayed the characters. its realistic and the scene where you had mello trying to stroke matts hair in chapter 4 was one of the most breathtaking scenes ive ever read, it really made an impression on me and left me stunned. i love how you wrote the relationship between them in such a subtle but beautiful way. it was understated but that just made it all the more effective and it was so convincing. thank you for writing this story! xx

This bears repeating: I love this AU.

I was teary-eyed at the end, because 1)I was sad that it ended, and 2)I really enjoyed the ending. It was refreshing to read a fic that gave Mello and Matt a chance to be happy-to just _be_ (if only temporarily, hah).

If/when you decide to write M&M again, I do hope you consider another sequel in this universe.

Some things I love: that the Big Bad ended up being a Kira worshipper/Mello admirer; that L let M&M go "I can't hear you Mihael-kun, I'm still in my room"; the game that Airetsyh set up for Mello, and the endgame (although I wish Matt could have been the one to kill him, for Mello); the subtle affection shown between the two-especially the hair ruffling, the easy banter, Mello's realization that's he's happy (mostly due to Matt), and Matt's worried babbling in the cellphone.
