I loved that bit you wrote. Favorite part of this great one-shot. It kind of changed my whole perspective on the whole trial thing or something. We did get a good ending, but you got the concept quite right ;) It's a close one with the blurted "Marry me" though, as far as favorite scenes go. I love sponaneous, rambly Meredith. Especially when Derek is involved. I also loved how Derek seemed lost and sad and broken. Not that I like him sad, but the contrast when is happy is even better if he's heartbroken at the beginning.

The cliff setting was the icing on the cake, really. Perfet set-up for a great one shot. Even Meredith cursing the trek she had to endure to get there. It didn't seem to matter after they spoke of forever, uh?

my favorite part was when Meredith compared them to the patients, that was really relevant, I loved it.

Now that they are going back together, I also think that Meredith will be the one to iniciate the change because Derek will still be afraid of pushing her and losing her that's why I totally agree with you when you made Mereidth propose

I have a feeling this is a lot like how the show will play out, and I hope it will be as good.

I'm not sure exactly if the proposal will be part of it, but I can see a 'marry me eventually' type of thing happening, at least to show that they have both evolved and are on the same page at last.

As ever, this is great from you, but just be careful of the odd missing word you have here and there. It looks a little as if you were thinking the story out a little faster than you could type it, which is really easily done, especially when a story is so clear in your mind, which this appears to have been.

This was really wonderful. I didn't expect Mer to propose, but I do think it would fit with her development and show Derek that she's serious.
