The story in this was so horrible I skipped most of it... I could only read the bold text. You can write a very good horrible story and you should be proud since it's hard to write such stories on purpose...

That is seriously the best "How To" I've EVER read! I'm going far enough to add this to my BOOKMARKS.

I've seen so many "fanfics" like the ones you describe here, like Tara Gilesbie's "My Immortal". They have all made me laugh till I rolled off my bed and onto the floor, and made my eyes burn at the complete utter stupidity of the "writings".

You forgot one very important rule! The "Oh-I-Like-This-Character-a-lot-they-is-gonna-be-my-besest-best-friend-in-the-entire-world-but-I-hate-their-name-so-I'm-gonna-turn-it-into-one-I-like" For example: Yeah, her name was originally "Mikan" but because she is my bestest friend, she has to have a cooler name to go with mine, like Noblessessa Pinkettacurls Unicornytopisay Esquetta. (Or something of the such.)

Wow. That was just... wow. And to think I always get snotty responses when I try delicately point the same problems out to authors. I always get the 'who are you to tell me what to write?' attitudes.

I swear, I want to find the translation to English dictionary that says orb is a good word to use for eye. I would shred it, burn it and then drive my car over the remains.

An extra gold star for you for pointing out GAFF writers tend to add characters that have 50 alices, put Narumi in a tutu and call him freak. Unnecessary bits of Japanese just to show off. Long, boring, 30 word descriptions of what everyone is wearing. Begging for reviews...

Oh wait! I found something you missed! Authors who refuse to grasp what is impossible! Because the world is filled with hospitals with 19 yr old doctors, who are also rock stars, models, and owners of 'the richest company in the world'.

Oh, and research. Japan has 3yrs for high school and term may start in April, but why should the author bother with little details like that? Start it in the fall, make it 4yrs, terms like freshmen, sophmore, junior and senior sound cooler.

Sorry I'm starting to sound bitter. I think I've been stumbling on to too many bad fics lately. This just triggered my urge to vent.
