Absolutely stunning, as always. I love how slowly David readied himself to leave, and how much he really wanted to stay with Jack,m. I'm truly surprised he got on the train at all; I thought he would have turned around. Now I have no idea what to expect in the next chapter, but I will be waiting patiently to find out.

In all seriousness, I am absolutely unbelievably thrilled that you're still writing this. I had long since given up on it! It remains one of my favorite fics of all time, though, and I'm fascinated to see how you're going to end it.

I actually thought I might have been hallucinating at first, when I saw the 'next chapter' button, but I wasn't, and I'm very, very glad that I wasn't, because this chapter was worth the wait.

ok so it has literally been years and you can still break my heart :) These two are perfect.

When, when will it be finished? I have to know what happens.

I know David isn't keen on doing this article and i know Jack is the only reason that he's in Santa Fe, but the anger he showed when Jack gave him that information, you could tell Jack was the only one on his mind. He's afraid of losing Jack all over again, before he's even gotten the chance to really know him.

I can't stand these big wig bastards who think because they have money in the bank they own the world. David is going to try and stop them and i know if David does this, Jack won't be far behind.

Maybe living in NY isn't what Jack wants, but from what i gathered David isn't to keen on the idea either. It'a a big country with many towns along the way. I'm sure they could both find a suitable jobs somewhere.

As to the boys in the alley way i'm guessing Jack is gay and i know judging by the way David looks at other men that he is too. Meaning they are going to get together soon - I hope? They belong together anyway. I've always thought that they were two sides of one coin, and they can't really function without the other. Something you've proven throughout the course of this story.

I know its hard to update a story sometimes, espeically after its been so long since you've added to it, but for those of us out here who really would like to see a happy ending to this, it would be a great treat. Something to think about. :)

Well, I'm looking at the update...date, and it's been over a year, but then again it shows that it was updated, and a good two years after it started. So, I'm hoping maybe this is one of those long nursed stories, because I would hate to see this die. So many of the best long ones do, and you have real talent as a writer. If it comes back into your mind with a little inspiration, I would love seeing this updated. :) I've definitely got this on my story alert list! The characterizations are so to the point and real, and it's like you can just see everything so clearly. It's brilliant. Here's hoping!

Wow. Just wow. This has got to be one of the best written fanfics I've ever read. Your detail is amazing. The feel of the story is utterly authentic. The way you write the characters, and the way you describe the time and setting feels real. I really hope to see this work continued. You've gained a new fan with this one. Well done.

Wow, I-I'm so glad you've updated this within the last couple of months, because I'm desperate for a conclusion. I love the tension, the desperation, that steady feeling of an ebbing and receding headache throughout the whole thing. PLEASE tell me you're still planning on finishing this, because I'm like. Making grabby hands at my monitor.

OMG I was so surprised to see that this had been updated. I'd started to think that this wonderful fic would be left unfinished. Your update couldn't have come at a better time for me, for the last few weeks it seems as though Newsies has been taken over by het stories and I found myself in slash drought lol. I really enjoy your dialogue between Jack and David. They're my favorite pairing and I love it when an author writes them well. Also, I really appreciate your effort to keep everything historically accurate and apporopiate to the time period. Can't wait for the next chapter, particulary what David will do next with the story and maybe finding out all that happened with him and Denton.
