Ayngel chapter 2 . 1/9/2010
So glad I got around to reading this at last, it's really good. Cross factional relationships are very complex and difficult and you do well in illustrating just how much Starscream finds this so, and on so many fronts. Second chapter I really felt inside his head.

Looking forward to the next story now :D
Artemis1000 chapter 2 . 12/1/2009
I love this fic! It's so sweet. Also, I really like how you describe the interfacing, with that exchange of emotions.
Garboil chapter 2 . 10/26/2009
Hm... This is really well written, but it exhibits my usual problem with this pairing- namely, it works fine on the level of personal relationships, but it never works politically. Decepticons and Autobots have serious philosophical differences that can't be resolved simply by making out. Starscream feels Megatron is failing at being a Decepticon, not that the Autobots have a better plan for Cybertron. And he doesn't share Autobot values. If Prime lets him fight alongside them, how can he guarantee Starscream won't launch a missile through Spike to get a good shot at Megatron, for instance?

This sentiment is the problem: "Really… what was there not to like about Starscream?" What's not to like? Let's start with how he thought blowing up the Earth was a great way to collect some energy and go from there. Starscream's personality isn't the barrier to Optimus/Starscream; it's his ethics.

If you can't convince me of Optimus/Starscream probably no one ever will. :( It's a shame, because I think it's an interesting pairing in the abstract.

But I'll forgive you all of that for making me realize that Starscream IS Alexander Solzhenitsyn. Starscream didn't go all the way and become an Autobot, but that vicious, sarcastic hyper-criticism born of betrayed idealism? It fits him to a T. If you could get him to read a human book- which probably would require him being locked in a prison cell with nothing else to do- he would adore "The Gulag Archipelago."

It's interesting you have Optimus call himself Prime rather than Optimus. I thought it was a skillful way of reinforcing how trapped he feels by his position; even when he's thinking of his personal relationships he thinks of himself in terms of his title, not his name. Whereas Starscream thinks of him as Optimus.

A delicious read, thank you. Sensuous, descriptive, in-character and well-paced. You've really made me believe in this pairing.

Kyraillion chapter 2 . 1/11/2009
Wow. Both chapters are absolutely amazing. Your writing style is superb. You've succeeded in capturing Starscream's character perfectly, a character I'm too chicken to atempt myself. Congratulations and keep up the writing!
ShiTiger chapter 2 . 8/2/2008
I adore Optimus and Starscream! Though, I feel a bit bad for Skyfire now... hopefully they can rekindle their friendship. I don't know if you had another chapter planned, but I really hope you do!
Dark-Wolfbane chapter 1 . 7/20/2008
Wow... that was... amazing! I loved every bit of it from start to finish!
Fire From Above chapter 2 . 7/7/2008
Nice to see it from his POV.
Wol Lo chapter 2 . 7/6/2008
Wow. Starsream's POV. So..Starscream doesn't know about encoding but he suspect that's some kind of bond. Perspicacious.
